Chapter Fourty-Four: 3 A.M. Cravings

I flopped around for what felt like the thirtieth time... I flipped to my back and huffed looking over at the clock on my phone. 3:30 A.M. Groaning i flipped to my side and shook Tad's shoulder.

"Babe..." He grumbled and turned over, so i shook him again. "Babe...."

"What's wrong? Why are you awake? It's-" He paused as he reached over and grabbed his phone to look at the time. "3:30 in the morning..." He grumbled.

"I can't stop thinking about waffles!" I exclaimed dramatically.

"I'll make you some in the morning, babe. Go back to sleep." He went to turn back over but i continued pouting.

"I can't! I literally can not stop thinking about waffles. Will you make me some?" I begged.

"At almost four in the morning?"

"Please?" I begged once more. Tadley sighed but flipped the covers off of himself and climbed out of bed. I followed him downstairs and into the kitchen, and sat up on the stool while he got to work making me waffles. I could have easily made them myself, but homemade waffles is one of the few things that Tadley is amazing at making!

"Are you ready to find out what we're having today?" I asked trying to make conversation while he worked.

"Yes! Are we having another gender reveal party or what are we doing?" He asked curiously.

"No, i talked to my photographer friend and she said she could take a gender reveal picture for us. She said if we're having a shoot then she could get at least the reveal picture to us today, but the rest would have to wait."

"Oh okay, that's cool." He nodded.

"I want both boys to be in it with us." I stated. Tadley finished making me waffles and set the plate in front of me. They were fluffy and golden brown, and he added some sliced up strawberries and some blueberries and whipped cream on top.

"Mmm thank you!" I bounced in my seat happily.

"You're lucky i love you, and that my child wanted waffles...because i wouldn't wake up at four in the morning to make waffles for just anyone.." He stated as he leaned against the kitchen island and watched me dig into the food.

"I love you!" I exclaimed with a mouth full of syrupy waffles. He shook his head but smiled affectionately at me and we sat there talking until i was done eating, then we went back upstairs to get some more sleep now that both the baby and I were completely satisfied.

** Appointment Time **

I got dressed in a red off the shoulder oversized sweater and black leggings. I left my hair down in natural waves, and only applied a couple coats of mascara and chapstick for makeup. We decided we are taking the boys with us for this appointment, because Joey wants to see his sibling. When we got to the doctor's office and got signed in, we went to sit in the waiting room to wait until we got called back, Joey took Cade over to play at the little toy station.

We were called back shortly and I picked Cade up and held Joey's hand as we went back for me to get my vitals taken and to get weighed. After everything was taken we were lead back to a room and i got up on the table, i lifted my shirt up over my tummy and Cade was sitting beside me playing with my wedding and engagement rings.

"Oh wow, you got everyone here today!" Dr. Michaels exclaimed when she came into the room fifteen minutes later.

"Yeah, Joey wanted to see his little sibling." I explained. She squirted the gel on my stomach and turned the machine on. She spread the gel around my belly with the wand, and soon my little one was on the screen.
