Chapter Ten: Uninvited Guests

Tadley had to leave early the next morning for work. I didn't have anything planned today so i'm just relaxing in my living room watching Netflix in some baggy sweatpants and a tank top. My hair is in a messy bun and i'm going makeup less today. I was in the middle of an episode of 'Friends' and eating snacks when my doorbell rang.

"Who in the hell?!" I considered simply ignoring it, i didn't feel like having company but i couldn't just be rude. I set my snacks aside and tossed the blanket off of me and got up, i went over to the door. I unlocked it and opened it and was stunned to see Reese standing there. Nobody else was with him. Which is really weird because i don't even really talk to him when we're all hanging out so i don't know why he'd be showing up here alone.

"What do you want Reese?" I demanded.

"Can i come in?" He questioned softly.

"I don't think that's a good idea. Why are you here?" I asked once again since he didn't answer me the first time i asked. "Where are the others?" I added.

"They didn't come, it's just me." He shrugged. "I want to talk. I don't want things to keep being awkward between us."

I sighed and against my better judgment let him in. I shut the door behind him, and walked back into the living room and sat down on the couch, pulling the blanket over me.

"Okay, you wanted to talk so talk." I demanded.

"Kenslea i want you to give me a chance! I know i didn't treat you how i should have before, but i want to make up for it now." He insisted. Is he serious right now?!

"Reese are you kidding me right now?! You told me you wanted to talk so that things weren't awkward between us.. Well they are going to continue being awkward if you don't drop this 'give me a chance' bullshit! I don't want to be with you, i'm happy with Tadley! And you are dating Cindy! She's an amazing girl, and she doesn't deserve this. So stop doing this, stop bringing this up, and focus on your relationship with your girlfriend. I'm over you." I was glaring at him.

How the hell does he expect things not to be awkward between us any more if he continues making things awkward between us?! He knows that i'm in a relationship with Tadley, he is also in a relationship.... so why the hell would he even try to talk about this with me right now? It's so inappropriate.

"Are you though? Are you really?" He demanded narrowing his eyes at me.

"Yes, i really am. This is how it always is between us... when i wanted you, you didn't want me. Now that i don't want to be with you, you wanna be with me. I'm not doing this. We are both in relationships and i'm perfectly happy in mine, Tadley is who i want to be with. So stop this. Stop pulling me aside begging me to give you a chance, stop coming by my house unless everyone is with you, and stop trying to get me to want to be with you. It's not happening. So either you respect my wishes, and we be friends, or you leave me alone and don't come around again. I finally have something amazing in my life, i'm finally happy, i finally found my person.....Why can't you just be happy for me and leave it at that?" I continued to glare at him in annoyance. I can't believe he is trying to do this right now.

"Because i'm not happy for you! I'm the one you should be with, you've always had a thing for me, i'm trying to be with you now and you're not having any part of it!" He exclaimed in frustration. Oh my god, he can't honestly be this stupid...

"Because it's too little too late! Why are you not getting that through your fucking head?! When i wanted you, you wanted nothing to do with me because i wasn't one of the Barbie dolls you were into. Now that i've changed and i'm not what i used to be you all of a sudden want to be with me, and it doesn't work that way! If you didn't want to see me back then, if you didn't want to give me a chance despite what i looked like, then you don't deserve me now!" I'm so angry right now!

"The fact that you're only now seeing me, now that i meet your expectations on what a girl should look like, says a lot about you. And that's not someone i want to be with." I flipped the blanket off of me and stood up, crossing my arms over my chest, and glaring daggers at Reese. "I think you need to leave."

Reese stood up and walked over, towering over me. I tried to take a step back but he grabbed my face and smashed his lips against mine. I froze for a split second in shock, then i realized what was happening and i pulled away, before i could even think my hand was flying up and connecting hard with Reese's cheek.

"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!!" Reese looked at me in shock, he brought his hand up to his face that was now a red color. He stepped away and walked towards the door but as he was opening the door he turned back towards me and looked at me.

"This isn't over." He stated.

"Yes. It. Is!" I growled. He walked out of my house and i ran over and locked the door then went back into the living room and collapsed on the couch where the tears started pouring down my face.

Oh my god, he kissed me....What's Tadley going to say?! Should i tell him? I have to tell him! he needs to know. He needs to know that i didn't respond to the kiss at all and that he's the only man i want to be with. I can't lose my relationship with him over this.... I just can't. I grabbed my phone and texted my brother.

*Text Messages*

Me- What are you doing? Can you come over? Please i really need to talk to you...

JJ- Sure, I'll be over in a few. Lacey is with me.

Me- NO! Just you.

JJ- Okay? What's going on? You never pass up the chance to hang out with your best friend..

Me- I'll explain when you get here. Just come alone, please...

JJ- Okay... I'm going to drop Lace off at home and then i'll be over..

*End Text Messages*

I didn't even respond. I tossed my phone beside me on the couch and buried my face in my hands and continued to cry. What am i going to do?!

Why can't things just go my way without getting messed up for once?

** Reese's POV: **

I was beyond pissed. How could she not even kiss me back?! How could she not want to be with me now?! What's so great about Tadley, that he can just take her away from me just like that?!

I quickly took my phone out of my pocket and looked up a phone number. Once i found it i dialed the number and put the phone to my ear. It rang a few times and then he answered.

"This is Tadley Matthews..." I scowled at his voice.

"We need to me up... There's something i think we need to discuss..." I said with a serious tone.
