Chapter Fourty-Seven: Safety

I don't know how much time passed, i just remember coming to consciousness long enough to hear Tadley's voice and feel his arms wrapped around me. He was crying and i wanted so badly to respond to him but my mouth wasn't doing what i wanted. And then i faded out again.

It was like that for a while, i would wake up long enough to hear bits and pieces of conversations and then i was out again.

"We came as soon as we could, is she okay?" I heard Lacey's panicked voice.

"What the fuck is up with you dating psychopaths, Tadley?!" That was Ava.

"What happened?" Reese's voice asked.

"They are going to do tests, Joey said she hit her head really hard when Taylor pushed her down..." Tadley's voice cracked.

"Oh God! Is baby girl okay?" Lacey asked.

Darkness. Dammit! I needed to hear that.... but i'm so tired!

More voices.

"Why isn't she waking up?!" Tadley exclaimed, i could hear the fear and emotion in his voice.

"Tadley, i know you're upset, but you're going to have to calm down or they won't let any of us stay with her." That was James' voice.

"Did the doctor say anything?" My mom is here!

"What happened with Taylor?" My dad too...

"She has a concussion, they said she'll wake up when her body is ready, she's been through a lot of trauma. Taylor-"

Darkness.

God Dammit!

"We'll keep the kids for the night, just stay with Kens and make sure she's okay." Gina whispered softly.

"She'll be fine, son, she's been through worse..." John tried comforting his son.

"Yeah, once again because of me.... I always get her hurt!" Tadley exclaimed.

"No, you don't, you're not the one that is hurting her." Gina insisted.

"It's my exes though..."

Darkness.

Noooo, wake up, wake up, wake up! He's upset, i need to comfort him......why won't my body listen to me?!

"Boys, say goodnight to your mommy." Tadley spoke softly.

"I don't want to leave!" Joey's voice cried out.

"You'll see her in the morning, buddy. I promise." Tadley assured him. I felt little arms wrap around me and lips press to my cheek.

"Night, mommy. I love you, i'll see you tomorrow.....please wake up.... i want to tell you i'm sorry!" Joey whimpered. I struggled trying to open my eyes, i needed to comfort him, tell him that none of this is his fault and that he has no reason to be sorry.

But my god damn eyes would not open.

"Momma! Mom mom mom mom mom mom mom!!" I felt tiny hands on me, and then i felt raspberries being blown on my cheek.

Come on, wake up! My babies need me....

Darkness.

"Come on, baby, wake up! we need you, we need you to wake up now. I'm so sorry... I'm so fucking sorry.. you keep getting hurt because of me... because my exes are Lucifer incarnates in disguise.." Tadley stated.
