Our sixteen week appointment is today, and we also find out what we're having today! Well, kind of... We aren't finding out at the doctors, we're going to have her write the gender down and then we're going to go have a cake made, then we're going to find out with our family and friends. We're having a gender reveal party today.

Tadley and I were up half the night setting everything up. We had pink and blue literally everywhere. I'm so excited! I didn't think that this was going to happen for us, now that it has i'm literally the happiest i've ever been. Tadley is over the moon as well.

He's been driving me crazy. He doesn't think that i'm supposed to lift a finger because 'it may be too much for me' or 'you relax, i'll do it!' don't get me wrong, it's very sweet of him to care so much, but it's also very annoying. I'm pregnant, not helpless! Also, my bump literally came in out of nowhere, it's getting so big! I rubbed my belly with a smile, then got dressed and ready to go to the appointment. I'm wearing a white flowey tank top, distressed denim jeans, brown ankle boots, and a forest green sleeveless army jacket. My hair is up in a messy bun and i'm wearing a natural makeup look.

"Babe! I'm ready, let's go!" I yelled out as i grabbed my phone, keys, and purse.

"Yes! Finally!" He called back. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but smile, he's so excited. This will be the first appointment he's attended so i can't really blame him for his impatience. I walked out of our bedroom and down the stairs, then we went out to the car after locking up the house. We climbed into the car and he drove me to the doctor's office with my directions. We arrived and went and got signed in, then went into the waiting room to wait to be called back. He was starting to bounce his legs out of nervousness.

"Babe, it's going to be fine! Everything is fine. The baby has been kicking and moving up a storm all morning." I assured him, i took his hand and placed it on my belly so he could feel the baby kick and would relax a little. It had the desired affect and he stopped fidgeting, he looked at me with a huge grin on his face.

"That's one thing i'll never get tired of feeling!" He had the dopiest grin on his face and i rolled my eyes and scoffed playfully.

"Pffft, that's because you're not the one getting karate kicked in the ribs and bladder!" I gave him a playful glare and then continued on. "No, but seriously, me either. It's amazing.. i never thought i'd get to feel it... but i am and it's magical!"

We were called back about fifteen minutes later, they did the usual weigh in and vitals, i had to do a gestational diabetes test, and then we were in the room waiting for the results and for the doctor to come in. We were waiting a long time when Tad started getting impatient.

"Does it usually take this long?" He questioned, that leg going a million miles a minute again.

"No, but they have to do a diabetes test this time."

"But you aren't diabetic." Tadley argued.

"Babe...there's a thing called gestational diabetes... it's a form of diabetes pregnant women can get.. it usually goes away after the baby is born. But that's why i had to drink that nasty over sugary drink. We're waiting on the results to come back." I explained. Before he could respond there was a light tap on the door and then Dr. Michaels came in with a smile.

"I see you brought the husband with you this time! I'm Dr. Michaels, it's nice to meet you i've heard so much about you. Congratulations!" She shook his hand and gave him her usual warm smile, Tad returned it happily.
