CHAPTER 32

The world suddenly was filled with brighter colours and much more vivid sounds.

Doyoung felt the world change greatly just after one kiss with Taeyong. He couldn't help but wonder how beautiful his life would be with him by his side all the time.

He was sitting in the Laboratory with Hendery speaking boisterously about the gas. "What should we name it though!?" Hendery said abruptly in the middle of his happiness rant, "We don't have a name for it!"

He looked at Doyoung and Taeil, "Any suggestion?" He asked desperately, "The gas is scheduled to be given in two days! I can't believe this!" He panicked.

While he was running in frenzies, Taeil and Doyoung fell into deep thought.

Taeil thought about the gas and a name for it. He thought that the name should be fitting for its gruesome origin, beautiful path and an ultimate horrible end. A name for all the transformations it causes. He smiled when a beautiful idea popped into his head.

He looked at Hendery and said, "Neogenesis."

Hendery and Doyoung looked at Taeil who smiled,

"Neogenesis talks about the regeneration of a tissue, or the production of a new product. With this gas, we are changing the lives of many into something completely different.

"They will change from being subjected to degeneration of beauty to preservation of beauty."

"This is the beauty of Neogenesis. The beauty of the future and its skill."

Hendery laughed, pleased with the name, "You indeed are correct, Dr Kayne. I'll mail the invitations of the event to you later. For now, you can leave. You have helped us in so many things, we are forever grateful to you."

Taeil smiled sweetly and got up. 'You can be grateful to me after your death.' He thought silently as he shook hands with Hendery.

The day went by real quick and was soon replaced by the day of the event.

Taeil and Doyoung got themselves decked in smart suites and shoes and went to Grand Arena of Nakamoto (GAN), the biggest hall in NstateT.

They went towards the back door, scanned their IDs and retina, and walked into the back stage room with Hendery and the junior scientists. Along with them was the super anchor, Lee Donghyuck.

On the way, they spotted the leaders and officials of many countries, walking on the red carpet with cameramen and flashlights.

Doyoung looked at their faces and couldn't help but feel disgusted. These men were the funding pockets of many murderers and he couldn't wait to see them dead.

Hendery spotted them and brightened, "Ah! You guys are finally here. Do you want to say a word  or two? You should actually, since you both contributed a lot."

Taeil set his coat while laughing, "Of course not Doctor. We are perfectly content here, watching our work grow in popularity."
Hendery held Taeil's shoulder and nodded, "You are simply wonderful, Kayne."

With that being said, the event went ahead in full glory, with Lee Donghyuck keeping the crowd constantly entertained, the lights glowing and shining.

Important people were called upon the stage, making speeches and thanking people. They greatly praised the National Medical Branch, thanking all the doctors and scientists that helped in making the gas.

But not one thanked the subjects of the experiment. Not one cried for the lives lost.

Then Lee Donghyuck came upon with 10 letters glowing in the back spelling, 'NEOGENESIS'.
He held the mic, "Ladies and gentlemen, now for the highlight of the show, the remedy we all have been waiting for, the Neogenesis!"

"Neogenesis is the prelude. The prelude to happiness and a new generation of no faults. We will be flawless with this gas, we will create a superior generation that will sustain their beauty even on the brink of death."

"The Neogenesis is the transformation from reality to utopia. The first step towards the empyrean domain of ours."
