"Alright, are you ready?" Remus asked, looking down at Delaney on Platform 9 ¾.

"You know I'm always ready for the start of a new term," she grinned. "This year will be a bit different though,""she looked over at Fred standing in the distance, saying goodbye to his siblings with George at his side.

"That just means you'll have even more time to focus on your studies, or Quidditch if you decide to play again this year," Lupin grinned.

"Oh please, I was focused on my studies even when he was there with me. Besides, do you really expect I'll only be focused on my studies when I'm friends with those three?" she laughed, pointing at Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"No, I suppose not," he laughed. "I'll let you go so you can say goodbye to the others," he pulled her into one last hug.

"I better see some type of progress with Tonks by the time I come back for Christmas Holiday," Delaney laughed, slowly pulling out of their hug.

"I said I'd try," he grinned. "Granted that might be a bit hard with her having to patrol Hogwarts."

Delaney raised an eyebrow to him, silently telling him that he'd better find a way.

"Alright, alright, I'll make sure," he laughed. "Now go say goodbye to the others before the train gets set to pull out of the station."

"Bye Remus," she smiled as she waved goodbye. She arrived at the group of Weasleys just in time for Mrs. Weasley to finish her goodbyes with Harry and Hermione.

"Oh Delaney, perfect timing. Come here, darling," she pulled Delaney into a warm hug with a smile. "Now remember you are always welcome at our home. It's always a pleasure to have you with us."

"It's always a pleasure to be there," she smiled back.

"Mum, do you think it's alright if I cut in here?" Fred peered around to face his mother.

"I suppose. I'll see you over Christmas holiday, darling," Mrs. Weasley smiled at Delaney once again.

"I can't wait," Delaney returned the gesture before Fred pulled her off to the side. "You know you could have just said goodbye in front of your family."

"Yeah but I knew you wouldn't have wanted me to do this in front of my family," he smiled, pulling her in by the hips before connecting their lips. Delaney could begin to feel herself melt in his kiss until he suddenly pulled back. "God, I'm going to miss doing that," he grinned, his forehead rested against hers.

"Well then it's a good thing I'm coming home for Christmas holiday this year," she smiled. "You better write to me, Weasley."

"I might even send you a few howlers to wake you up," he chuckled, his fingers slowly interlacing with hers.

"Do it and you're dead the next time I see you," she laughed through her glare.

"That just makes me want to do it more," he smirked.

"Oi! Delaney, the train is about to leave!" Ron called from where Fred and Delaney had left the Weasleys.

"Looks like that's my call," Delaney sighed, releasing Fred's hands.

"I'll see you at Christmas," he smiled, giving her a quick peck. "I love you."

"And I love you," she smiled, slowly walking away from him. "Oh," she turned around, "make sure you mess with George in my place while I'm gone."

"I was already planning on it," he grinned.

"Bye," she smiled.

"Bye," he smiled back.
