Delaney awoke to the crisp morning air gently nipping her cheeks with a rush of excitement and determination. Today would be the legendary Slytherin v. Gryffindor match. One of the most important matches of the year, and this time with their new team.

Delaney was ready to take on the Slytherin team. Though this would be the first game with Dean as one of the chasers while Katie Bell was at St. Mungos, she felt good about today's match. She hurried to put her Quidditch robes on. They fit much better this year than they did the previous year. They hugged her thighs in just the right places. Fred would have loved to see how the uniform fit her sculpted body this year.

"Oi! Delaney, are you ready? We have just enough time to eat breakfast before Harry wants us down at the pitch," Ginny's voice carried from the other side of the wood, knocking on Delaney and Hermione's door.

"Perfect timing," Delaney opened the door to follow Ginny.

The girls walked down to the Great Hall swiftly, talking about everything they had been up to. With the craziness of this year, Delaney found barely any time to catch up with Ginny. Ginny had been scrambling as well with the extra studying she was doing for O.W.L.s and finding time to spend with Dean. Though that was getting easier now that they were on the Quidditch team together. Delaney missed when she and Fred were on the team together. Though it was only for one game, she still loved it.

"Have you talked to Ron today? He looked quite nervous last night," Ginny asked, turning her head to Delaney as they walked towards the Gryffindor table.

"Ginny, I just got out of bed. You're the first person I've talked to all day," she laughed. "But no, I haven't seen him. Oh, Merlin's Beard, he looks terrible."

The two girls turned their attention to Ron, who was sitting across from Harry and next to Hermione, looking quite sheepish. Delaney didn't know why. Ron was doing quite well in practices. Much better than he did during fifth year.

"What's wrong with him?" Ginny threw her head in the direction of Ron as she and Delaney sat down at the table.

"He's nervous about the game. Says he's going to play the game today and resign after," Hermione responded, her hand gently rubbing Ron's shoulder. Delaney could have sworn she saw Lavendar Brown scoff a bit further down the table at the sight of Hermione touching Ron.

"Ron, you're going to do just fine. You were doing great in practice," Ginny assured him.

"Yeah, when we weren't in front of the entire school," Ron said defensively. Ginny merely rolled her eyes at his sense of stage fright.

"Looks like the mail's here," Delaney pointed to the swarm of owls entering the hall, hoping it would take Ron's mind off of his fright. A small brown owl swooped down, dropping a letter next to her plate, before flying back towards the owlery. Delaney looked down at the letter, immediately noticed Fred's sloppy yet somehow neat handwriting. A smile grew on her face as she opened the letter from her lover. This was the first letter she had gotten from him in a few weeks.

Hey love, so sorry it's been so long since my last letter. It's been quite busy at the shop, even with everyone at school. I promise I'll try to write to you more. Dad was telling me about what happened to Kaite last week over dinner. It's terrible really. Be sure to keep an eye out. Though I guess you do that already with your visions. Okay, anyway, I'm rambling. I just wanted to write to you to tell you the shop is doing great. Also to please be careful and that I love you.

P.S. Tell Ron to stop acting like a sissy over a Quidditch match.
