"Wait, you're telling me Angelina was somehow able to get permission to get the Quidditch team back together?" Delaney asked as she and Fred were walking through the corridors.

"Yep, and now she's trying to get players for the match next Saturday," Fred nodded.

"Is this why you're dragging me all around the castle?"

"Well, yes but I didn't want to make it obvious," Fred looked at her with a hopeful expression.

"What makes you think I can play?" she asked.

"Well one, I've seen you fly and you're a lot better than you think. Two, I saw you playing Quidditch with Ginny and Ron at the Burrow a few times. Not to mention you beat me in a game the summer before your fourth year." Fred stopped walking in front of her.

"Yeah but those were just for fun. They weren't in front of the entire school. What if I make a fool of myself?" Delaney looked up at him.

"Don't go getting worried about that now. I think that ship sailed a long time ago," he chuckled. "Come on, please. We could really use you."

Delaney deeply exhaled, "Oh alright, but there better still be a chaser position when we get there otherwise we don't have a deal."

"Great, now come on before she does fill the position," Fred began dragging Delaney down to the Quidditch Pitch. The walk down to the pitch felt much faster than it had before for Delaney. She suspected it was because of her nerves this time. Sure she played well with Ginny and Ron at the Burrow but would that be enough for the house team?

"Oh, Fred there you are. We've been waiting on you," Angelina said, leaving her conversation with George.

"Have you filled the third chaser position yet?" Fred asked.

"No, but don't tell me you want to switch now. It's a lot harder to fill a beater's position than a chaser's." Delaney could hear the anger building in Angelina's tone.

"No, not for me," he paused. Fred took a step to the side, revealing Delaney who had been standing behind him. "This is your new chaser."

"Have you ever played Quidditch?" Angelina asked with a skeptical look.

"A few times at the Burrow," Delaney admitted reluctantly.

"Trust me, I've seen her play," Fred looked at Angelina with determination shining in his eyes.

Angelina stood silent for a moment, bouncing her eyes between Fred and Delaney. "What are you two waiting for then? Go get dressed."

"You won't be disappointed," Fred yelled as he and Delaney quickly walked to the changing rooms.

"Fred, do you really think I can do this?" Delaney asked as she slipped on one of the temporary Gryffindor Quidditch robes.

"I know you can," he walked over to her after getting dressed. "Now come on so you can prove that you can."

"Oh alright," Delaney grabbed hold of Fred's hand and walked out onto the pitch for her first quidditch practice. She had done quite well during practice. Angelina even told her that if she kept playing the way she did then she could earn herself a permanent spot on the team.

"See I told you, you did amazing out there," Fred grinned as the two entered the common room after practice.

"It was only practice. I just hope I can do that well at the game," Delaney looked up at him.

"Stop doubting yourself. You're going to do even better than today," Fred looked at her with encouragement.

"I should write Remus. He'll want to know all about it. He may even get me a new broom so I don't have to use the school's," she smiled.
