Delaney awoke in Fred's room to the feeling of Fred's arms around her. They had fallen asleep while she was reading again. The sound of rain smacking the window filled her ears, making an idea spark in her head.
"Fred," she whispered. "Fred, wake up."
"Hmm?" he asked, his eyes still closed.
"Fred, it's raining," she leaned over his ear.
"So?" he turned over on the bed.
"Would you just come with me? Please?" She stood up.
"What's in it for me?" he asked.
"Well if you'd get up you'd know," she laughed. "But maybe a little of this," she gently kissed him.
Fred quickly jumped up, "So, what are we doing?"
"I should have just started with that," she laughed. "Just follow me."
Delaney led Fred out of his room, through the common room, and down to the front doors of the castle.
"Why are we at the doors?" He looked at Delaney with furrowed brows.
"Because we're going on an adventure," she smiled as she dragged him by the hand out into the rain.
"I thought I was the one to take you on adventures," he laughed.
"Well it's time I repay the favor," she smiled. Delaney took Fred's hand in hers and began running through the rain just as the two of them had at the Burrow those many months ago. Running then turned to dancing and dancing turned into Fred chasing Delaney on the grounds. Fred caught Delaney by her waist and spun her in a circle before placing her in front of him. He gazed into her ice-blue eyes as she gazed into his honey-colored eyes. He leaned in and kissed her as he held her in his embrace, rain still falling around them.
As they pulled back Delaney smiled as she bit her lip, "Happy Birthday."
"It is a happy birthday indeed," he smiled before kissing her once more.
Delaney melted into his kiss, parting it when his tongue traced the seam of her lips. She let out a whimper when his tongue dominated hers. His grip tightened on her at the sound of her whimper. Warmth began to spread through her, causing their kiss to feel even more electric.
"Fred," she gasped as he pulled back. His honey eyes looked smokey when she found them with her own.
"I know," he simply said, releasing her from his old. A grin formed on his face. "Come on, I bet I can beat you to the Quidditch Pitch."
A bit later the two finally made their way back into the castle and the common room. The common room had gained many more people than it had when they left it. Each person was waiting for Fred and George's small birthday celebration in the common room to begin.
"I have to go get ready. I'll see you in a bit," Delaney smiled as she kissed Fred.
"Don't take too long. But then again it is you we're talking about," he laughed.
"Very funny," she laughed facetiously. "Now I do need to go shower and get all of this rain off of me."
"You know I could join you," he said jokingly.
"Oh I'm sure you would love that," she laughed, ignoring the frill of heat that ignited at his words. "But I think I'll sit this one out."
Delaney quickly made her way to her the showers which were luckily empty when she arrived. She quickly jumped in the shower only to realize after washing her hair that the water was pink for some reason. She looked at the ends of her hair to see they were a bright shade of pink.
