"Harry, you have to get a move on if you have any hopes of getting that memory from Slughorn. Exams are in two weeks," Hermione pointed out, trying hard to keep up at Harry's side as the two entered the common room.
"Hermione, don't you think I know that," he snapped.
"Woah, Harry, no need to be hostile. But, I must know what you two are talking about," Delaney smirked, closing her book and standing from her chair by the fire.
"We're talking about how Dumbledore gave him the task of retrieving the memory from Slughorn months ago, and he has yet to complete it," Hermione glared at him.
"Fine, I'll do it today. Does that make you happy?" Harry glared back at her.
"Harry, you can't be serious. Do you even have a plan?" Hermione turned her body to his.
"What, so now that I say I'll do it, you change your perspective on it?" He snapped. It didn't take long before they were both off in an argument. Delaney sat watching them for a moment, hoping they'd resolve it on their own. But, like usual, they weren't going to.
"Okay, stop. Stop!" Delaney shouted, placing a hand on each of their chests. Their attention quickly fell on her. "Since you two clearly want to act like children to solve this, I suppose I will have to help you. Now, what is the issue you two are having with each other."
"I'm simply saying that Harry is acting stupid for thinking he could possibly retrieve the memory from Slughorn out of sheer dumb luck," Hermione crossed her arms.
"Hermione, I know-" Harry paused, his eyes lit up. "Wait a minute, that's it! Luck!"
"What?" Hermione's brows furrowed.
"All I need is a bit of guaranteed luck!" Harry grinned.
"You've lost me," Delaney looked at him in a bit of a confused manner.
"Just come with me, Both of you," Harry grabbed their arms, pulling them towards the boy's dormitories.
"Harry, why are we going up here?"
"Because Hermione, I needed to get this," Harry grinned, holding up a small vial that Delaney knew to be the Felix Felicis.
"Hey, Harry did you see how- Ah bloody hell! What are they doing here?""Ron asked, pointing to Delaney and Hermione now standing in his room.
"Don't get your panties in a bunch, Ronald. Harry just brought us up here to look through your underwear drawer," Delaney laughed. Ron's face turned a sheepish shade of white. Harry let out a loud laugh along with Hermione.
"She's joking Ron," Hermione laughed.
"You and my brother are made for each other," Ron rolled his eyes, plopping on his bed with a loud thud. "But, really, what are you two doing in here?"
"Harry brought us up here to get his Liquid Luck. He's going to use it to get the memory from Slughorn," Hermione answered, now seeming calmer than she had moments before.
"You aren't going to use the whole bottle, are you? I mean, it just seems like you could have a lot better situations to use it in." Ron sat up in his bed, looking at Harry earnestly.
"Course not, Slughorn said you only need a drop," Harry shook his head, popping the vial open.
"Harry, are you sure about this?" Hermione asked timidly.
"Hermione, it's the only way."
"I think I have to agree with Harry. I mean, it wouldn't hurt for him to take it just in case," Delaney looked from Harry to Hermione. Hermione looked at Harry for a moment before silently nodding.
