A/N: Hi guys! I just wanted to pop on and say thank you all for reading and I can't wait for you to see how I've planned out year seven! Also, I'm curious as to how you found this fic. So please, comment on how you found it!
Over the course of the next few days, the emotions at the Burrow had been mixed. Everyone felt terrible about Moody's death, Harry mostly, but they also were thankful that all of their loved ones survived the task.
On the other hand, Mrs. Weasley had been putting all of the children to work around the house in preparation for Bill and Fleur's wedding, which was just two days away. Funnily enough, she mainly made Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Delaney work the most. It was almost as though she wanted to work so much that they hadn't had time to plan anything she thought was stupid. However, this was keeping Delaney even further from Fred, only making both of them more frustrated. They had been at each other's side for months now but had yet to find the time or space to be with each other in the way they wanted. They'd both practically do anything for the relief they were longing for.
"I can't believe mum finally gave us a break from cleaning. We've been cleaning for nearly a week straight," Ron grumbled, taking a bite of his cake. Everyone at the Burrow was celebrating Harry's birthday before the wedding since they fell on the same day.
"She thinks we're planning on leaving, so in her mind, if she separates us enough, we won't be able to form a plan to leave," Hermione said matter-of-factly, taking a bit of her cake as well.
"Well, in her defense, we are technically planning on leaving. We just haven't made a plan," Delaney shrugged. She was trying to talk in a low whisper so as to not let Fred hear their conversation. Luckily, he was off in a conversation of his own.
"Look, I love you guys for wanting to help, but I can't put you all at risk like that. I have to go it alone," Harry insisted.
"Harry, when are you going to get it through your thick skull that we have helped you for the past six, almost seven, years. I dare say that you wouldn't have been able to complete half the things you have if you didn't have us," Delaney leaned toward him before sipping at her Butterbeer Fred spiked with Fire Whiskey.
"She has a point. you know," Ron nodded, looking over at Harry, who had a glum grin.
"Hey look, it's Lupin and Tonks," Hermione grinned, pointing at the entrance where guests were walking in.
Delaney quickly waved at the both of them as she stood, they both waved back happily. Harry, however, beat Delaney to them. But as Delaney was watching them, it appeared that something was bothering Lupin, his face appeared almost distraught. Tonks appeared fine. So what was bothering Lupin?
"What the bloody hell is the Minister of Magic doing here?" Ron's brows furrowed in confusion.
Before Delaney could even look back at Lupin and Tonks from looking at the Minister, who was now walking towards the Burrow, they were gone. Harry said they disapparated when they saw the minister. Delaney didn't think much of it, she knew Lupin was worried about what the Ministry would do to him in the current climate with his condition.
"Kids," Mr. Weasley slowly walked up to the four of them. "The Minister would like to speak with the four of you inside."
"I'm sorry, what?" Hermione's eyes grew large.
"He's right inside, best not keep him waiting," Mr. Weasley nodded, cautiously pointing them to the house.
With this, the four slowly walked into the Burrow, unsure what to expect. Out of caution, they all crammed onto the same couch, across from the Minister. To Hermione's relief, the Minister immediately told them they weren't in trouble. This only made Delaney more confused as to why the Minister of Magic was visiting them. Especially since they were all just barely of age.
