The days in headquarters seemed to carry on in one of two ways. They would either be fast and fun with Fred or they would be slow and Delaney would be bored out of her mind. Regardless, Delaney was shocked when she realized Harry would be joining them in just a few short days.
"What do you all suppose we do?" Ginny asked with a huff as she plopped down on the couch. With the order in a meeting, everyone else gathered in a sitting room on the second floor.
"Well, there isn't much for us to do. Especially with Fred and George working on their Joke shop items," Delaney huffed, equally annoyed by their lack of opportunity to do anything.
"Why don't you go in there and get them?" Hermione proposed. Everyone looked at her with odd expressions on their faces. Of all people, Hermione would usually be the least likely to suggest getting into Fred and George's antics.
"What?" Ron asked.
"Why not? We always have something to do when they're around so why not?" Hermione suggested again.
"She has a point," Ginny countered.
"Why me though?" Delaney asked.
"Well maybe because you date one of them," Hermione laughed.
"Yeah but if we send her she'll just end up snogging Fred for twenty minutes," Ron said with a scowl.
"I will not!" Delaney had a chuckle behind her voice.
"Oh really? Then go get him." Ron looked at her with a challenging stare from the opposite couch.
"You did that on purpose. I'm still going to get them though." Delaney walked down the hall to Fred and George's room. She pressed her ear against the door, hearing the sounds of loud pops and laughter from the other side. She smiled to herself before knocking on the door.
"Quick George, hide everything," Fred said from inside the room.
"I thought the meeting wasn't supposed to end for another hour," George said back with what sounded like panic lining his voice.
"You don't have to hide anything. It's me," Delaney giggled as she entered the room.
"You didn't do the special knock we told you to do," Fred groaned.
"I know, I just like hearing your little freak out from the other side of the door," she laughed.
"You always know how to find entertainment don't you?" Fred grinned.
"Yeah but it's usually something with you," she giggled before they connected their lips.
"And it always ends with the two of you snogging," George playfully rolled his eyes.
"Someone's a little upset that they aren't snogging Angelina," Delaney laughed as she looked at George.
"One day I'm going to get you back for all of your remarks," George laughed, pointing his finger with narrowed eyes.
"I'd like to see that," Fred laughed, his hand tracing Delaney's back.
"Well, you can work that out another day. Right now I need you to come with me. Everyone is bored out of their mind without your antics."
"Oh yeah? And why is that?" Fred asked with a knowing grin.
"Well, like I said we're all bored and-"
"And you want us to help you all have fun," George interrupted.
"Precisely," she nodded.
"What's in it for us?" Fred quipped.
"Well I don't know about George but for you, it would be proving Ron wrong," she looked up at him, raising a suggestive brow.
"How would I be proving him wrong?"
"Because he said if they sent me we would just end up snogging for twenty minutes," she laughed.
"It does sound like something the two of you would do," George snickered.
"Someone's jealous," Delaney whispered to Fred before sharing a quick kiss.
"Alright let's go so we can prove him wrong," Fred laughed. Just as George walked into the room with everyone else in it, Fred pulled Delaney back into the hallway with his hands on her waist.
"What are you doing?" she whispered as she broke away from their kiss, giggling.
"I just had to get one more in," he chuckled before moving towards the door.
"Wait," Delaney pulled his arm towards her and kissed him.
"What was that for?" He looked down at her with a smile.
"I had to get one more in," she smiled before they walked into the room.
"It's about time the two of you walked in," George tutted.
"They were snogging no doubt," Ron grumbled.
"Sounds like someone's a little jealous he's not snogging anyone," Ginny laughed.
"Hey!" Ron sounded offended.
"You have to admit that was a little funny," Hermione laughed.
"Okay you have been hanging around everyone for too long," Ron looked at her with a narrowed gaze. She simply shrugged her shoulders before laughing again.
"Children, dinner will be ready soon," Mrs. Weasley called from the bottom of the stairs.
"Wow they did finish the meeting early," George said, looking back to where his mother's voice carried from.
"I guess it's a good thing I stopped you two then." Delaney propped her legs up on Fred's. As if it was an instinct, his hand found her thigh. "How is everything going with that though?"
"It's been going great! We saved a large amount of the money Harry gave us but what we have spent of it has helped us." This kiddish smile on Fred's face warmed Delaney's heart. She was glad he was finally taking strides to do what he loves.
"How many things have you made?" Ginny asked.
"We've made a lot of different things. But we want to wait for Harry to get here to show everyone. I mean he is the one that gave us the money to start all of this." It was George's turn to wear a kiddish smile.
"That's wonderful!" Delaney smiled.
"Yeah but mum doesn't know about the money yet so don't mention that," Fred warned, meeting the eye of each person in the room.
"Don't you think she's going to find out when the two of you miraculously have the money to open a joke shop?" Ginny raised an inquisitive brow.
"Ah but you see, that's when we'll either actually come clean or just tell her we had enough people buy our products at Hogwarts that we saved enough money to open it," George shrugged.
"Children, it's time for dinner!" Mrs. Weasley called from the bottom of the stairs again.
"Just in time. I'm starving," Ron stood up, his hand rubbing his stomach.
"Ron, you're always starving," Delaney laughed.
"As long as I get my food I'm fine," he countered.
"Oh yes because we wouldn't want you to go without a meal now would we?" Fred chuckled with a smirk.
"You eat just as much as he does," Delaney challenged, looking at Fred with a teasing smile.
"There they are," Lupin said in greeting as all of the children walked into the kitchen.
"It looks, delicious mum." George pulled out the seat on Fred's left side as Delaney sat on Fred's right.
"We already know it's going to be wonderful," Delaney smiled. She loved Mrs. Weasley's cooking.
"You always know just what to say," Mrs. Weasley smiled at Delaney.
"Yes she does," Fred smiled at Delaney as he gently placed his warm hand on her thigh under the table. With his touch, Delaney felt a jolt of electricity jolt through her body. But not like the electricity from one of Fred and George's products. Electricity that came from his touch. Exciting electricity. Electricity she hoped to explore.
