Very odd note, but I've recently come to the realization that everyone on Wattpad has grown up. That's so odd. I remember being 12/13 on here with others my age and now I'm almost 20! Time really flies, huh?

Any who, let's jump into the story!

- Chapter 27: Lowdown -

With an ever present glare residing on his visage, Hideki towered the honey eyed male. The mafia associate crossed his well toned tattoo riddled arms swiftly. The simple action only served to better display his bulky size to the rather slim male trapped in his stare. His golden eyes scanned over the man before him as he lit up a cigarette (a nasty habit he was unfortunately making more frequent than he cared to admit).

Kallen, with florescent threads of neon comfortably protruding from his slender finger tips, he stood tall behind the ensnared individual. His piercing green eyes narrowed with gleaming antipathy (literally).

"Y'know, smoking will age you faster than your line of work." Doctor Sasaki jabbed vituperatively. It was times like this that made the doctor angry that quirks were, essentially, public knowledge and a record was easy to get your hands on if you knew the right people. So, in trade, the two not so gentle gentleman knew not to touch or be touched by him, which rendered him powerless (as if him being currently captured wasn't power robbing enough, this was just the cherry on top of the shit storm his life had spiraled into).

Kallen didn't verbally acknowledge the middle aged male's rude remark, though he did tighten the hold his threads had as if silently telling him to watch both his tone and his sarcasm saturated mouth. Sasaki winced at the added pressure, which ultimately left him to bite his tongue anytime a denigrate comment came to mind.

He'd never been too fond at the idea of compromise, but this time... This time he'd make a slight exception.

Hideki snorted flippantly at the comment as he took a long drag, sights never leaving the medical professional. "That'd be a bitch if it were true, wouldn't it Doc?" He exhaled, creating a cloud of (headache inducing) smoke as he shifted his gaze to Kallen (who served to both be his colleague and one of his closest friends, who he'd appropriately call his brother).

Kallen responded with a swift, curt nod before speaking. "Do you have any inclination as to what our business with you is?" His tone was a concoction of pitiless and facetious. It was clear he was experienced in the art of manipulation, wielding his words as if they were the most deadly of weapons. The ebony skinned male took an ostentatious step forward, broke his exemplary posture, and leaned in beside the doctor with a playful smirk (which served to showcase his stark white smile).

Hideki stood by and watched the scene with languorous eyes, occasionally swiping some stray hair over his shoulder.

Sasaki glared at the hubristic nature of his captor. "The hell? If I knew, you'd both be gone by now."

Kallen's smirk grew, his luminesce eyes gleamed with an unspoken amusement. "So sure, are we?" God, he loved when people had even a sliver of confidence to defy.

Sasaki grunted as his restraints tightened uncomfortably, knocking the wind out of him. "Are you going to tell me or what? I have better things to be doing." He struggled in the bright strands that held him.

Kallen stood upright once more with an added chuckle, before walking around to face him directly (Hideki off to his side). "I can assure you there's no use in struggling. There's very few that could ever escape the predicament you're in, so be good will you?"
