Sorry for the wait everyone! I visited my boyfriend and his family in California and then I went to Ohio to get some more surgery regarding my burns and skin graphs, but now I'm back home and ready to write again!

Anywho, enjoy the story! And thank you SO MUCH for 10k reads! It means so much!

- Chapter 32: Housebound -

Kurogiri was quick to provide her with a change of clothes before he got to work cleaning the bile from his precious wood floors, he wouldn't want it to eat away at the wax coating after all (not that he already had Shigaraki's inconvenience of a quirk to deal with).

Sunako thumbed over the thin cotton shirt she'd been so generously given, but made no move to change. She felt that if she could just curl into herself enough, then maybe they'd forget she was even there. The scent of blood, bile, and anguish clung heavy to her tattered clothes and stuck grossly to her ashen skin. Her long hair was tangled with some sections matted in blood that wasn't her own. With a tear stained face and dry lips, the ravenette pushed herself further into the wall.

Shigaraki had disappeared off to some other part of the building and she'd hoped he'd stay away for good. Kurogiri disposed of the rags he used to clean up her mess and stood to full height once more (tucking the cleaner under the bar where it belonged).

The portal spawning villain threw a glance her way, but she seemed to not notice. He sighed to himself. Kurogiri knew Tomura was brash in nature and not the best people person, unlike All For One who could charm his way out of prison. He was a stubborn one, had been since his teenage years. There's just some things people never outgrow, but he had hoped brashness would be but a phase.

Kurogiri plucked a pristine glass from one of the many racks before using the tap to fill it halfway with water. With a steady pace, he rounded the bar and held out the glass to the petrified woman. "Dehydration will only make you feel worse, furthermore you're one of us now."

Sunako panned her sights to the glass and then to his face before hesitantly taking the cup, but she made no effort to drink it. One of them, huh...? That thought was sickening to her in every way possible, but it wasn't like she wasn't use to illegal doings. In truth, she didn't really care what they did as long as it didn't interfere with her daily life, but what a catastrophe that turned out to be.

Sunako was in the middle of it all now. Either she'd acclimate to her new environment or she would die. There was no in-between, at least not with Shigaraki. Not with them.

Kurogiri stole a glance at the analog clock that rested on the wall and made a noise of acknowledgment before directing his attention to the unmoving woman. "It has become much later than I had hoped for. I'm going to retire for tonight." His words held no malice nor did they seem negative, he was just talking. "Tomura shall show you where you can sleep. I'd advise you don't try anything." There it was, that edge, the threat.

The nurse didn't offer any response other than a far away stare. Her eyes were puffy, her nose rubbed raw, and the clothes she clad were better off in the garbage. She watched as Kurogiri (along with his steady brainwaves) disappeared up the narrow staircase to what she could only assume was where his room resided.

Sunako glanced down to the glass in her hand, her reflection was distorted and she scorned at it. She knew who she was, even in her current circumstances. She felt mocked by the crystal liquid and spited it.

A creak reverberated from the staircase. She snapped her head up, causing the water to slosh and jump from it's glassy confines. Sapphire eyes zeroed in on Shigaraki as her heart clawed up her throat.
