- Chapter 20: Parting Intersection -

Another couple days had flown by, and it's not like she was keeping up with time. Sadly, that's all she had on her hands at the moment. And with each excruciatingly slow passing day, Sunako has had to continue digging into her savings and each time she pulled money it's like a new wound being torn into her flesh. I'm going to be broke by the months end... she sulked with droopy eyes as she washed the dishes, something she's gotten into the habit of. It was a great way to avoid watching the news and passing time.

Shigaraki, nearing the end of his fantasy book, felt a familiar vibration in his pocket. The feeling was almost always foreign to him, because despite his lover for video games and gaming consoles he never really touched his phone unless his duties called for it. And, honestly, the small device pissed him off. Who knew trying to hold a hand held device was tricky when he could only use eight of his ten fingers? Certainly not him.

He set the book aside, being sure to remember what page he was on, and pulled out the small gadget. It was by no means a 'fancy' or nice phone. It's not like he needed it do more than receive messages, calls, and vice versa. Shigaraki could recall the times when he only operated on a burner phone, but thirteen flip phones and piles of dust later he was given a clearly outdated smart phone, which made typing a hell of a lot easier. Not having to click the keypad for the number two three times just to get the damn letter 'C' was nice.

He clicked on the dim screen (which was never at full brightness, God forbid) and clicked on the notification. With indignant annoyance, he found it wasn't from his comrade Kurogiri, but Compress instead. Well, well. They finally decided to pull their weight. Damn side characters.

'Kanagawa, Kawasaki, Tama Ward, Noborito, 2918' read the short text.

Shigaraki didn't respond, he never did. So, they've finally found us a new place? Good. He grabbed his book to resume reading. At least it's closer to Doctor Garaki, that old bastard. And to think he disappeared after master's capture. He's suppose to be loyal to me. Shigaraki glared at the floor, lips curled back as he used his dominant hand to scratch at his neck.

Sunako switched the faucet off and the all too familiar, turbulent brainwaves of an annoyed villain hit her. She hated to admit it, but she could almost say she was getting use to it . The nurse glanced over her shoulder curiously. Maybe he didn't like the ending of the book? I mean, there are five more. She was wrong as she spotted his second hand fly up to his neck. "Hey, stop that!" She called out with haste as she dried her pruned hands on her shirt, eyebrows furrowed as she muttered annoyed nothings to herself.

"Shut up!" His verbal snap reverberated in the back of his mauled throat as he continued his onslaught.

Oh my God. Sunako mentally groaned as she made her way up to him. She'd like to call her idea 'half baked', but it wasn't, it was raw. Well, here goes nothing. Maybe my hands, but whatever. She had NEVER touched him without warning, but this was an exception. He's going to get blood on my couch! I don't have the money or TIME TO GET A NEW ONE! AND IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO FIND ONE THAT FITS HERE PERFECTLY!

She calmed her mental tyrant. Gently and hesitantly, she grabbed his bony wrists (she could comfortably wrap her whole hand around the joint) and urged his hands away from the delicate skin of his neck. Any normal person would think someone held him down and attacked him with a cheese grater. He shot her a hate filled glare and she unknowingly tensed her hold. The brainwave that smacked her moments later was no better, though, she'd take that over his icy glare any day of the year.
