- Chapter 5: Respite -

Shigaraki stumbled through Kurogiri's swirling warp portal and gripped the edge of the bar for support, blood bag held close with his other hand as he reluctantly held out from dusting the wooden surface. Had Shigaraki not grown up with the warp villain, the teleportation would due him in.

Kurogiri followed soon after, closing the portal and with no nurse, but Shigaraki brushed it off being in too much pain to care. "Shot in an arm and a leg and just when I thought things couldn't get any worse." he hissed, hunching over as he looked up to his closest comrade. His voice was rough on the ears as he needed water for his cotton mouth (though he already sounded like that a majority of the time). The ruby eyed male recalled a time when Toga offhandedly remarked that he (indeed) sounded like a smoker. "And why do you have that?" Shigaraki asked indignantly as he briefly gestured to the bag of medical supplies in the mist's hand.

"For obvious reasons we could not bring Miss Sunako along, but she did entrust me with instructions and a general idea on how to care for your particular condition." Kurogiri set the bag aside and scanned over his young master. He's filthy. "I'd advise that you allow me to change your bandages before you make yet another mess." He narrowed his yellow eyes at the thought of another bloody scene in his clean and up kept bar. Kurogiri was far from pleased that day Shigaraki was shot in all four of his appendages and bled all over the freshly waxed floor and even more displeased when Stain stabbed him, causing a small hole in the wooden floor. I refuse to allow that to happen again. Such a mess it made. His body may repair him, but my floors will not. The sheer thought of it happening again was enough to annoy the middle aged man. He sighed, his shoulders slumping forward a few centimetres before he straightened his posture once more (he only wished Shigaraki's was better).

"Heh," Shigaraki laughed as a condescending smirk tugged at his chapped lips. "You're going to play doctor?" Much like those who play hero. Shigaraki groaned in pain and grabbed the bag, being mindful not to dust it for once. "I can do it myself."

"Just like how you said you could get your own pain medication?" Kurogiri retorted in irritation as he folded his arms neatly behind his back. Always been such a child. You'll find that you, too, Tomura will soon depend on the league more than you'd like. Kurogiri's thought drew him back to the memory of All For One's capture. An inevitable fate.

Shigaraki was silent for a moment before scoffing hoarsely. "Whatever." and with that, the crimson eyed male slowly made his way up the stairs and down the short hallway into the bathroom. This is all because of that stupid, incompetent nurse. I hate her. Lucky for me, the next time I see her I'll likely kill her. Arrogant good for nothing NPC. He smiled at that notion. The wounded male shut and locked the bathroom door as to not be bothered any further by Kurogiri, not that a locked door could stop a warp quirk such as his, but it was the feeling of false privacy that he grasped onto. Shigaraki knew that Kurogiri had more manners than to simply just warp in whenever he wanted. Everything hurts... I'll show that stupid nurse I didn't need her help. Shigaraki winced as he took a seat on the rim of the bathtub, bag in hand. Opening the bag to find a new roll of bandages, his scarred, dry fingertips brushed against something small, hard, and thin. Gripping it, he yanked it out. It was a hospital ID card. "What am I going to do with a badge?" He studied it briefly and was detested by Sunako's smiling picture. He tossed it aside in a sickly concoction of annoyance and disgust.

Back at the hospital, about a day later, Sunako fluttered her crusted over eyes open only to see stark white. Am I dead? She managed to turn her head to look at a few of her surroundings, blinking slowly. Nope. Just the hospital. A steady, rhythmic beeping filled the air as well as the crinkling sound of the mattress protector beneath her. When did I get here? Sunako abruptly remembered everything of the previous day with the leader of the league of villains and she grabbed at her skull as a sudden headache came on remembering the unpleasant chaos. "Right..." Sunako said aloud pulling her hand from her head to examine it. It was wrapped in a thin layer of white bandage and pleasantly soft. When did that happen? I don't remember injuring myself. But, then again, I don't seem to remember any of my injuries. She rolled her eyes as she sarcastically thought about the scar on her scalp. Pushing herself up into a sitting position, Sunako groaned. Her body was sore, probably from all the running she endured and then some. Sunako took a moment to take in her surroundings before a small, colorful bouquet of flowers caught her eye, a small card laying beside the simple vase.
