Peter was out as Spider-Man again after another successful mission with the rest of the Avengers, he was making his way back to the compound he heard a bunch of yelling from an alleyway.

He landed infront of the opening to see three muggers...surrounding a kid, that's messed up. Before Peter could do anything a burst of electricity came from the kid taking out all three muggers. He stood there staring at his hands with labored breaths, then the two made eye contact.

Peter's Spidey sense went off and something must of happened to the kid as well because the next words that came out of his mouth were unexpected.

"You're like me.."

The kid looked like he was close to tears "I- I don't wanna to be...like you.."

Peter chuckled and pulled off his mask to reveal his identity "it doesn't seem like you have much of a choice kid"

That's when he freaked out, but luckily for Peter he knew how to handle these freakouts, he's had plenty of them himself. He slowly made his way and kneeled infront of the teen.

"Hey, hey it's ok, what's your name?"

"M-Miles."

Peter nodded "ok Miles I'm gonna need you to take some deep breaths with me, alright? Just copy me"

The two sat there taking deep breaths till Miles calmed down and was able to look at the man infront of him.

"Wait, you’re Peter Parker...Tony's old intern when he was-"

"Alive?"

Miles nodded "yeah..and you're Spider-Man"

Peter smiled "yep have been since I was 14"

Miles raised his eyebrow and stared at him with a surprised expression "woah..."

Peter would have never guessed that after that day he'd be mentoring a young Spider kid, a reckless, hyper, self sacrificing, spider kid. Miles reminded him so much of himself and now he knows how Mr. Stark felt all those years ago.

Still he was proud of Miles, at 15 he was already mastering being Spider-Man, they had an agreement where Miles would become the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man while Peter stayed on Avenger level missions and threats.

Peter was in the middle of sparring with Harley when Miles burst through the door in a tattered Spidey suit.

"Mr. Parker!"

"What happened?! Are you ok?!" Peter raced over to the boy looking him over for injuries worry surging through his chest.

"No no I'm ok! I mean I just got dragged around New York by a van because they had these crazy intense weapons and I was like 'hey stop!' And they were like 'no way man!' So then I had to chase them but I couldn't keep up so I shot a web and-"

"Miles, as much as I love hearing about your day I just need to make sure you're not hurt at all"

A small smile appeared on Miles face, 'I just need to make sure you're not hurt at all'

"I'm ok, I promise, I probably just have a few brusies and cuts-"

"Cuts? Cuts are bad we'll go clean those, head to the medbay-"

Miles groaned "the medbay? Why? I'm fine!"

"Miles. After the medbay we'll fix up your suit and maybe if you don't put up a fuss about the medbay you can stay at the compound overnight.."

Miles smile grew ten times bigger "really?!"

"Yep"

Miles raced out of the training room leaving Peter and the rest of the team behind, Peter heard laughter behind him and turned to face Harley and Morgan.

"What?"

Morgan shrugged "nothing"

Peter frowned placing his hands on his hips.

Harley made his way over to Peter placing an arm around him "it's just, you're acting like a dad, like Tony"

"What?! No I'm not!"

Morgan and Harley laughed again Morgan lightly punching Peter in the arm "yes you are!"

Peter rolled his eyes and walked away towards the door "whatever, i gotta go, if I'm not there soon the kid is probably gonna find a way to blow something up"
