The ship landed at the compound, Peter was still sitting on the floor near Nebula. He quickly stood up and walked to the door. It slowly fell to the grass.
he slowly walked down towards Steve. Tears already burning his eyes and threatening to spill. Steve jogged towards him quickly noticing that Tony wasn't there.
Steve caught Peter in his arms and hugged him tightly "H-Hey buddy.." He whispered and his voice shook. Peter couldn't even speak before he broke down into tears, tightly grabbing Steve's shirt in his fist.
"I'm- I'm so sorry, I- he- I couldn't do anything, He's- Tony-" Peter could barely breathe at this point. Steve started swaying them slowly back and forth, whispering soft reassurances to Peter "It's ok Peter, breathe, it's not your fault, it's ok."
Peter calmed down a bit, he was able to control his breathing again "He's gone. They're all gone.." A few more tears fell down his face.
"You're gonna be okay, Peter. We'll be ok" He still hugged Peter tightly resting his chin on Peter's head. "Let's get you inside, alright?"
Peter slowly nodded. Steve pulled away and wrapped his arm around Peter slowly guiding him to the compound. The kid had no one left, no guardian to take care of him. His aunt died in the snap, his last living relative. Pepper, Happy and Tony were gone too.
Steve decided it was up to him, he didn't mind having to take the boy under his wing, they were already pretty close.

Remember this is an AU so yeah lol, civil war didn't happen, The snap affected different people, also I did this cuz I NEED more content of Steve being a father figure to Peter.
