The message ended. That dreaded message that every family or loved one of a missing person has to send out and hear. They hear it like they don't know their child is missing, like it's mocking them. You couldn't protect him. He's gone and you did nothing. The alert played over and over in Mays head, her baby was gone. Tony was desperate, he'd do anything to find Peter. Steve was devastated, 15 year old Peter, gone just like that.
There were no leads, no new information, nothing. Nothing about Peter Parker.

Peter Parker: Hey Ned!
Ned Leeds: are you almost here? I'm waiting by the school entrance for you.
Peter Parker: yeah, I'm kind of close. I just passed- [Cut Off] [inaudible]
Ned leeds: dude? Are you alright?
Peter Parker: yeah, yeah I'm good. I accidentally bumped into someone haha
Ned leeds: oh ok haha, well I'll see you in a minute, alright?
Peter parker: yeah! See you in a minute!

Peter never made it to the school. Ned had wished everyday that he stayed on the phone with Peter. If he just maybe stayed on a little longer this wouldn't have happened or maybe it'd be easier to find him.
Peter couldn't have ran away. He wouldn't do that. Tony and May had honestly been a bit angry about that suggestion. The suggestion that he decided to just leave. Peter wouldn't do that. He was happy and it would be a very out of character move for him, but still the thought stayed at the back of their heads. Could he have ran away?

Tony had done everything he can, he'd gotten Stark Industries involved, the Avengers, his suits. Still there was nothing. They had even taken to social media, which was a good idea since it got Peter's story around. Soon a hashtag was created.

It was trending on multiple platforms. Twitter being the biggest one. Millions of people had spread existing information around, created threads. Many think the only reason Peter's case got so big was because Tony stark and the Avengers were involved. That may be true but at least it was better then nothing. Pepper had set up many donations to missing persons organizations to help fund cases that have been closed or just needed extra help.
Days went by and there still was nothing new. Life wasn't the same without the dorky brown eyed teen who'd talk your ear off if given the chance. The tower was quiet. Too quiet. It was quiet without the Avengers laughing at something Peter had said, or Sam and busky bickering over something with Peter, or Steve and Nat in the gym with Peter training him on combat, or Tony's lab that felt so empty and cold nowadays.
All of Peter's stuff was still in the lab, Tony didn't dare touch or move any of it. He couldn't. Plus Peter had a specific way he liked to organize things and when he came back he'd be a bit ticked off about his things being moved around. yeah, when he came back. When is he coming back? God please bring him him back please.
Peter's room at the tower was never touched. No one went in there. No one even looked at or touched the door. They all secretly hoped they'd all wake up from this nightmare and Peter would walk out of that room, smile at them and start talking non stop about another Star Wars theory he and Ned discussed, but that never happened. Peter never walked out of that room.

The messages were left unread. They stayed on delivered. Nothing new. They all found it a bit therapeutic to text Peter, even though they knew well enough he couldn't answer or see them. It was comforting.
Comforting like how sometimes they'd call him just to hear Peter's voice-mail, just to hear him. Just to hear his voice and feel his happy energy through the phone. Even Happy and texted and called him a few times. He missed the kid.
Everyday felt like it was going by slow, they all felt heavy and tired, waiting for the one day Peter Benjamin Parker returned.
