nobody needed to be informed to know that
sakusa was preoccupied—his technique was
clumsy today, his spikes were just being hit
for the sake of being it, his usual scowl was
much nastier.

the air felt heavy, most of everyone knowing
the reason why since atsumu was quite on
edge too, but nothing was going to fix it
even if atsumu had let his pride go to say
he was sorry.

during their break was the only time sakusa
had spoken.

he brought a container out of his bag and
showed it to the teammates he was currently
surrounded by.

sakusa kiyoomi
"suzume made some umeboshi
onigiri if you guys want..."

suna's head perked and he looked away
from ryou to focus on sakusa who had
opened the container he knew was
from suzume's house.

suna rintarou
"oh!"

bokuto took two, leaving five left for the
others.

suna scoffed.

suna rintarou
"fatass! who said you could
have two!?"

bokuto laughed, taking a couple steps away
to dodge the light kick coming from suna.

bokuto koutarou
"i'm taking tsumu's share since
he's still on the court setting on
his own!"

watanabe ryou
"and you didn't think of
maybe saving it for him
instead?"

ryou reached for an onigiri as sakusa had
brought the container closer to him.

now hinata, suna, ryou and sakusa himself
had one, leaving one more which the latter
planned to eat for the walk home.

watanabe ryou
"mm! these are good."

sakusa hummed, munching silently on his
own onigiri as he sat on the bench with his
water bottle on his other hand.

hinata shouyou
"mhhmm!"

suna rintarou
"suzume's real good at making
onigiri, do you want me to steal
the recipe for you?"

ryou laughed, shaking his head at suna who
had an amused look on his face.

watanabe ryou
"i don't think that's necessary
at all, suna."

watanabe ryou
"though, i appreciate your
willingness to commit a crime
for me."

suna laughed.

suna rintarou
"a crime? oh come on now."

bokuto koutarou
"can i have that last one, omi?"

sakusa scoffed, shaking his head and holding
the container closer to his chest.

"no, i'm eating it on the way
home."

bokuto koutarou
"aw! then can i at least have
half for when we all head home
together?"

sakusa furrowed his brows, shaking his head
once again.
