what's your major?

hana was a chatterbox, you learned, and it
relieved you as she was the one who kept
the conversation going. she was quite bright
and beautiful and so eager to be friends with
you.

you learned that she was also in her second
year, a psychology major in the science stream
and that she only met the boys back in the
fall semester. she's a busy bee so she can't
hangout often nor does she actually see much
of everyone since her schedule is packed, but
she does share a class with sakusa.

the two were well acquainted and you liked
that she also respected sakusa's boundaries.
he seemed to like her as he was able to talk
playfully with her and humoured her when
she was joking around him.

nikou, on the otherhand, was still a bit of a
mystery to you as he wasn't as talkative as
his best friend. he engaged in conversation
with you here and there but it was limited
and oddly enough you craved more.

"so, what's your major?"

your voice was a bit hesitant as you spoke
to nikou, feeling a bit shy as it was just the
two of you outside waiting for everyone else
to come out with their orders of ice cream.

"i'm in accounting with suna.
you said you were in kines,
right? going into athletic
therapy?"

"oh!"

you nodded, giving him a warm smile. you
hadn't expected him to be listening to your
conversation with hana during dinner.

"i am, yup."

he chuckled.

"that sounds pretty fun, you
know."

mikoshiba nikou
"you could be an athletic
trainer for our school's
sports team if there's an
opening."

you hummed.

"yeah, i was thinking about
it actually."

"atsumu was telling me that
their athletic trainer is going
to graduate this year and that
a spot in the team will open
up."

"i was thinking about taking
it but i'm feeling a bit shy."

you laughed sheepishly.

nikou laughed, amused with your shyness,
and nodded along.

"yeah i feel you on that."

"but i think you should
consider it."

mikoshiba nikou
"it's quite fun to be on a
team and you'd get to
travel the world along with
them for championships
and tourneys if they're
outside japan."

you grinned.

"yeah. that'd be pretty cool."

"you're in a team right?"

"atsumu said you're a swimmer."

nikou hummed as he nodded.
