atsumu suddenly let out a small gasp and
whipped his head from his phone to you. he
stopped walking and so did you, the both of
you connecting gazes.

you looked at him curiously, wondering what
it was that got him to react the way that he
did.

"what?"

you questioned him with a small laugh which
got him to giggle.

miya atsumu
"suna just texted! said that
practice is cancelled since
coach has somethin' to do
with 'is family!"

atsumu smiled widely.

miya atsumu
"ya don't got work today
since it's a wednesday, right?"

miya atsumu
"let's hangout!"

miya atsumu
"suna said he wanted to go to
an arcade with samu so we
should go, huh!"

unfortunately his excitement got the better of
him. he left no room for you to respond and
continued rambling on about what fun activities
you all could do together.

he placed a hand on your upper back, guiding
you back to the regular path you two would
take on days you two went home together.

but today was not one of those days.

"tsumu—"

atsumu didn't hear you the first time and
kept talking.

"we used to go to the arcade on
fridays after practice back in
high school!'

miya atsumu
"gin stayed back in hyogo but it'd
be nice if he were to visit us and
we could all hangout like we used
to!"

miya atsumu
"i'm sure you'd like him, y/n!"

miya atsumu
"suna's also really good at those
dumb claw machine games and
yenno as much as i wanna get
ya a stuffie, i feel like i might
waste all my money instead..."

he let out a small huff.

miya atsumu
"might be better t'let suna
handle this o—"

"tsumu."

atsumu paused and turned to you, his smile
still as bright.

it made you feel a bit guilty but you had to
tell him that you already had plans.

it wasn't like you could bail on the other person,
most especially if this was one of the first few
times you were going to hangout with them.

and that your plans were already made since
yesterday.

"oh! sorry, you were sayin'?"

you smiled apologetically and tugged the blond
to the side of the hallway you two were walking
through. he followed, making sure you weren't
going to get caught in traffic or be run over
by any of the students hurriedly passing by,
and stopped when you did.

"evrythin' alright?"

you bit your lip and hesitantly nodded.
