sakusa and suzume's morning

sakusa wasn't exactly sure if he should
wake suzume upㅡshe cried to him last
night and he was more than aware how
emotionally and mentally exhausting
it was for her.

but he couldn't just let her sleep for
the rest of the day especially since it
was a school day.

he sat at the edge of his bed and rested
a hand on her thigh, pressing his thumb
against her skin.

before he could open his mouth, she
already hummed in response to him.

"five more minutes, kiyoomi."

he scrunched his nose.

sakusa kiyoomi
"it's almost 10, suzume, we
have class at 11."

she hummed again, laying on her back
and stretching her arms above her head.
this moved sakusa's hand to hold the
inside of her leg.

sakusa kiyoomi
"do you want to go to school?
or do you still... feel bad?"

suzume rubbed her eyes and hummed.

sakusa kiyoomi
"it's okay to not go if you feel
bad... but understand that
there's a difference between
feeling bad and not wanting
to go to class and then just
agreeing with suna to skip."

suzume laughed.

sakusa kiyoomi
"do you want me to give
you a bath?"

suzume stretched once more before she
sat up, sakusa bringing his hand back to
his lap as he watched her.

her hair was a mess, her clothes were
wrinkly and uneven on her body, and
her eyes were puffyㅡshe looked quite
terrible but he liked being able to see
this side of her. it was domestic and it
made him feel all warm and fuzzy.

sakusa kiyoomi
"good morning."

suzume gave him a smile before crawling
over to him to give him a hug. she buried
her face into his chest and relaxed against
his body.

"good morning, kiyoomi."

sakusa wrapped his arms around her and
let out a small sigh.

sakusa kiyoomi
"how are you feeling?"

she shrugged.

"i guess i could say good
since i didn't bottle anything
up last night."

"but i don't wanna spend my
day without you."

sakusa kiyoomi
"clingy..."

suzume laughed at sakusa's shy attempt to
tease her.

sakusa kiyoomi
"well, i don't really mind if
you want to spend the day
with me."

sakusa kiyoomi
"only if you don't have an
important schedule today."

sakusa kiyoomi
"if you have a test or anything
of that sort then you have to
go to class, no pity from me."
