you noticed the little things that suzume did
for her boyfriend and how that put him in a
good mood. her little habits that you were
sure weren't hers before were endearing and
probably developed as a way to adapt to her
significant other.

you couldn't help but marvel at them, taken
by suzume's consideration and just how well
they communicated even without saying a
word.

miya atsumu
"y'alright?"

you brought yourself out of your head and
turned to atsumu, feeling a bit embarrassed
with yourself for staring.

it probably looked odd to him and a bunch
of other customers as surprisingly the ice
cream parlour was a bit packed.

most of the seats were occupied which lead
to the four of you having to split in pairs to
have a seat insideㅡsuzume and sakusa sat
together by the bar seats against the window
while you and atsumu sat at a booth designed
for two people.

"yeah."

you turned away from suzume and sakusa
to give atsumu a reassuring smile.

he returned it, lips covered with ice cream.

you laughed.

"what, are you 5 years old?"

atsumu laughed and shook his head, licking
his lips clean.

miya atsumu
"no, i just wanted to return
the smile since we had eye
contact."

miya atsumu
"it'd be a little weird if i
licked my lips and then
smiled at ya."

you chuckled and nodded along, giving your
focus to your ice cream.

"i suppose so."

miya atsumu
"what were ya staring at
anyway?"

you smiled, shrugging a bit, licking your ice
cream before answering.

"s² by the windows."

atsumu hummed, taking a bite.

you wanted to scoff at him but seemingly
understood where he was coming from as
his teeth weren't directly sinking into the
cold treat.

miya atsumu
"why? they being gross?"

you laughed and shook your head.

"no, dumbass."

atsumu laughed.

miya atsumu
"damn, alright, asshole."

you laughed again.

"i was just thinking about how
cute they are, and how they're
just...so perfect for each other."

atsumu hummed, turning around in his seat
to find the couple. he was quick to spot them
and grinned at the way sakusa was clearly
scolding suzume for something.
