WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU IN A RELATIONSHIP? WHAT DO YOU THINK TRULY SHOWS YOU LOVE SOMEONE OR SOMEONE LOVES YOU?

❝probably being together or maybe even
the want to be with one another. it's totally
different for everyone, of course, but for me?
knowing my significant other wants to be
by my side no matter what we're doingㅡ
doing our own stuff but just in the same
room kind of thingㅡit just makes me feel
loved. it's comforting, i think, to just want
to feel someone's presence or to even have
someone want yours. to want to be together,
even just to bask in their presence, i think
that says a lot about a relationship and the
kind of love people have for one another.❞

❝hhhmmmm... probably being able to
comfortably give your significant other their
personal space. it's important to be together,
of course, but you gotta let your significant
other have some "me time". there are things
i enjoy doing alone and of course i wanna
share my life with my loverㅡbut that time
by myself... it's therapeutic. you're in your
own little bubble with no interference, you
know? but never for too long. i just think
some time apart to do things on your own
is a healthy part of a relationship. to have
that from my lover, i think i'd feel really
loved and understood.❞

❝genuine patience and understanding like
respecting boundaries. it's good to be able
to give your significant other a small push,
helping them see in a different perspective,
but they have to take the step forward out
of their bubble to walk with you. you can't
drag them at your pace. i think that kind of
understanding, knowing that your lover isn't
comfortable with certain things and being
patient with them... coming to a compromise
or meeting in the middle... i think whether or
not you can do that for your significant other
shows how much you truly love them. being
able to do that for me and wanting to do
that for meㅡi believe that i'm truly loved.❞

❝showing up, you know? to anything, really. it
just tells somebody that you wanna be there
and that it's important to you just as much as
it may be to your lover. whether it's a date, an
errand you gotta run for 'em, or maybe even
like a gameㅡi'm an athlete so my games are
important to me. and that's not to say that my
lover comes after my games, never, it's more
that my lover wants to see me in another
place that makes me feel like home. i'll do my
best to show up for my lover and i want to be
able to show them i care about their hobbies
and interests. i want my lover to be there when
i serve and cheer for me like they're the only
one i could hear... show up to tell me they're
there for me.❞

when you're together. love is so general but
it's also so specific. the way i love my lover
now will never be the way i love anotherㅡah!
i feel so bad for saying that since i don't ever
wanna break up with my lover now! but you
get what i'm saying? when you're... with this
other person intimately, you learn to accept
and to love and care for them. my lover needs
this from me, my lover needs that... i think to
understand this and to want to do it because
you care so deeply about them... that's what
i mean by unique love. it's important to see
yourself not loving in general but loving them.❞
