"that game was insane."

you laughed, admiring the starstruck look
on nikou's face.

after clearing the stadium and heading out
to wait for the boys, all nikou could talk
about was the game. it seemed as if it hasn't
really ended for him yet.

"you're so cute."

nikou's cheeks flushed and he laughed shyly.

"is this your first game?"

"n-no! i've seen volleyball
games before but... t-today's
was just different."

mikoshiba nikou
"could you imagine how awesome
it must feel to be a part of that?"

mikoshiba nikou
"everyone cheering so loudly,
the crowd being so involved
and the adrenaline?"

mikoshiba nikou
"swimming's nothing like that,
it doesn't feel as intense even
when you're watching in the
crowd, y/n!"

he let out a sigh, a bit out of breath as he
rambled on to you.

it was adorable, you thought.

you laughed.

"yeah, i guess volleyball has that
kind of effect."

"everyone feels almost the same
kind of rush and excitement."

nikou nodded, turning to look you in the
eyes. his expression had a sparkle to it and
it made you swoon.

"aw, nikouu."

his eyes widened and he turned away, rubbing
the back of his head shyly.

mikoshiba nikou
"i probably look and sound
like a kid, huh?"

you laughed, patting his back lightly as
if to comfort him.

"you do, yes, but it's cute."

his nose scrunched.

"oh whatever."

you laughed.

mikoshiba nikou
"when are the others gonna
get here anyway?"

"hhhmmm in a bit, i'd say."

"usually they shower or linger
in the changerooms so we'll
probably wait for a while."

nikou nodded and glanced at you.

you gave him a smile and he felt his heart
skip a beat.

"what was your favourite
part of the game?"

your expression lit.

"oh!"

"probably seeing bokuto receive
with his whole chest."

nikou laughed and turned away, covering
his mouth with the back of his hand.

"yeah, that was cool."
