"i'm admittedly very nervous
to step on the court."

suzume gave you a warm smile and gently
patted your back.

koizumi suzume
"don't worry too much!"

koizumi suzume
"it's recreational so nobody's
playing too serious."

sakusa kiyoomi
"maybe bokuto but not to
clown youㅡhe just can't
hold himself back."

you shuddered a bit which made suzume
scoff at her boyfriend.

once inside the gym, the smell of salonpas,
even in a recreational setting, filled your
nose.

the floor wasn't wooden so there wasn't
much squeaking of shoes but you were
able to hear loud voices as well as crisp
smacks from palms against a ball.

you felt a shiver run up your spine.

"oh! they're here!"

you turned at the sound of atsumu's voice
and felt your shoulders relax a bit.

he had a warm smile on his expression and
jogged his way over. he greeted sakusa with a
wave since the wavy haired male did not want
to contact, gave suzume a headpat which she
glared at him for and then you a quick hug.

"ya ready to play?"

miya atsumu
"we were just warming up
but i can so some more
warming up with ya to
touch up on some basics."

you smiled nervously and nodded, following
him towards the court they were occupying.

to see so many boys intimidated you and the
fact that they were all close to 6 feet made it
feel like you were surrounded by titans.

they were quick to introduce themselves though,
breaking free from the terror you associated
them with.

you set your bag down and made your way
to suzume to stretch with her. she looked
rather comfortable in spandex shorts and
one of sakusa's t-shirts, even sporting thigh
high knee pads.

obviously she played.

"is it really okay for me to
play with you guys when
the last time i played was
in middle school?"

suzume laughed and nodded, patting the
space beside her.

koizumi suzume
"yes, silly! it doesn't matter
as long as you have fun."

koizumi suzume
"if the boys wanna get
nitpicky then i'll bark at
them for you."

her words lifted your mood and you felt
much lighter.

"so, i'm guessing you played
in high school?"

suzume nodded, pressing her feet together and
creating a diamond shape with her legs before
leaning forward.

you copied her and let your body relax into the
stretch.

"yup! i played as a libero!"
