what sakusa didn't account for was completely
overlooking a major part of the outline that
would result in him and umetsu having to edit
a majority of the work they've already done.
the time that was supposed to be used to try
and finish up the project today ended up being
used to edit what the two thought was already
solid work.
this, of course, frustrated sakusa, and umetsu
didn't know what she could do to let him know
that things were going to be okay—that he
shouldn't get mad at himself for accidentally
missing a part of the outline.
umetsu yua
"we're all human, we all make
mistakes..."
umetsu turned sakusa's desk chair which she
was seated on to look his direction where he
was on the floor.
his laptop was placed on his right side and
then a whole bunch of scattered papers on
his left. his legs were crossed and his hands
were buried into his hair.
he let out a frustrated sigh.
"i'm aware."
"but all the hours we've already
put into this project basically
meant nothing."
"i have so much to do and i
thought we were going to
finish this today."
"of course i didn't read the
outline correctly and now
you have to do extra work,
too."
umetsu brought her feet up on the chair and
hugged her legs to her chest.
umetsu yua
"it's okay, we know what to
do and we can still use what
we had as an outline."
umetsu yua
"it makes work easier right?"
sakusa let out another sigh, closing his eyes
this time and tilting his head back, leaning
against the side of his bed.
umetsu yua
"and i'm not all that bothered,
if i'm honest."
umetsu yua
"i'm only in 3 classes this sem
and my other two are really
easy."
umetsu yua
"i'm also not in sports like
you are, i don't really hold
any responsibilities so i
don't mind doing more than
i already am for our project."
sakusa frowned.
he understood where umetsu was coming
from but he didn't ever like depending on
others like that when it came to school
work—sakusa knew what he was going into
upon accepting his sports scholarship so
he should be more than capable in these
kinds of situations.
even atsumu and suna, two of the biggest
slackers he knew, were holding up fine—so
sakusa wondered why he couldn't.
his mind drifted to suzume for a moment
but then he pushed those thoughts away,
sighing, he sat up straight and brought his
laptop back onto his lap.
"i think we should keep the
workload divided evenly no
matter what."
umetsu hummed, resting her chin against her
knees.
