atsumu stared at his phone.

he wasn't asleep, he just knew he wasn't
going to be able to keep himself together
if he saw you.

he was glad you were happy--he was more
than happy to know you were feeling loved
and looked out for.

and he wishes that the excitement you had
was for him.

it sucked, but it is his fault--he knew that.

he should've taken that step and just felt
his feelings without thinking too much
about it--he should have just crossed the
bridges when he got there instead of
planning the path he never even got to
take.

"what a dumbass."

he let out a sigh and tossed his phone to the
end of his bed.

he turned onto his side and stared at the wall,
trying to pick out any details his desk lamp
illuminated.

then he closed his eyes.

he just wanted to stop thinking.
