The next day was completely different. I ended up having Shawn drive me to school, which he automatically grew in question.
"So, why are your friends splitting?" He asked.
"Well, these random ass seniors came and told them to stay in a hole, and come out when they're ready."
"And Riley had faith in these people." "Yep, thanks for catching on."
"Wait, but what about you and Lucas?"
I sigh, "Well... I because talking to Mercedes again."
Shawn swerves to the other lane out of shock, almost killing us as the car goes back to the lane.
"M-Mercedes? As in... ex-ex Mercedes?"
"Yeah. We actually made-up and are cool with each other."
"And Lucas doesn't like that?"
"No, he's being an asshole because everything's changing."
Shawn pulls up to the school. "All I can say is, just live life, kid. Don't let Lucas be the reason you are making choices, because all high school boys are trash."

I laughed as I got up and out of the car, going to school.
When I got in and was walking to go talk to Mercedes, one of the administrators stopped me in my tracks.
