"Did Shawn make a decision on the offer yet?" Maya asked me.
It's only been yesterday since my dad told us about his job offer in Amsterdam. Maya has been impatient with the answer — wanting it to be ripped off like a bandaid — while I preferred the wait; it gave me time to think.
"You know he's gonna tell us at the same time, he's not gonna pull a dick move and tell me before you," I assure, "Besides, I thought you don't wanna think about it?"
"How can I not when Amsterdam is 3,637 miles away from here?"
I just had to ignore her. As much as I wanted to forget that this is happening, I couldn't. I kept thinking about what I'd miss if I went away, yet I would also think about the opportunity our family would have over there.
As we walked into the classroom, the group looked terrible and gloomy. I say, "Damn, you guys are all emotional when you don't even know if it's gonna happen."
As we sat down, Farkle states, "Because it is happening V."
