Tyler and I spent the week travelling around California with the guys before we went home. It was a nice break and I felt better about talking to Zayn in person. I think it’s better talking face to face with someone if you are apologizing or explaining something. The next few months went by pretty fast. They came home one other time in between us going to LA and now. We were all sitting in the living room having a movie marathon. We let Iris pick the movies since she was not moving around as much. I hoped she would have the twins soon. She had gotten very big in the past couple months and I was scared she would have them when Niall wasn’t here. They were due to come in at any minute, but I was still scared that she could go at any time. We had already watched a movie called “The Science of Sleep,” it was one of Iris’s favorites. She picked “Insidious” next and I looked at her.

“You sure you wanna watch that?” I asked her.

“Yea, why not?” she shrugged.

“Well, something scary might pop up and cause you to have the babies,” I laughed. She rolled her eyes and turned the movie on. We were in the middle of the previews when my phone went off.

To Jess: We just got off the plane. Heading home now :)

To Zayn: Good! I think Iris is trying to scare the babies out. She’s watching Insidious

To Jess: lol, okay. On our way!

I turned my attention back to the movie. A few minutes in, I noticed Iris jump out of the corner of my eye and turned to look at her. Her hand flew to her stomach. I knew what was happening.

“Ty, go get her hospital bag, we have to go,” I told him calmly. I walked over to her and helped her stand. We walked to the car and I opened the door for her to get in. She looked down and up at me.

“My water just broke,” she said.

“I know, it’s okay, sweetie, just get in the car. We are going to get you to the hospital as fast as we can.” She climbed in and looked at me.

“But Niall’s not here,” she said with a sad look.

“They are on their way here, Zayn texted me a few minutes ago. I will call them and tell them to meet us there,” I smiled and shut the door. We climbed in and Tyler drove as fast and safe as he could to the hospital. I called Zayn.

“Hey, meet us at the hospital.”

“Oh my god really?”

“Yes, really. Tyler is driving us there right now. Her water broke when we got to the car.”

“Okay. See you there and be safe” We hung up and I turned my attention back to Iris.

“How you doing, sweetie?”

“Just get me there” she half yelled. I knew she was in pain. A few minutes later, Tyler pulled up to the hospital and I got out of the car and helped her inside while he parked. We walked inside and I looked at the lady behind the desk.

“She’s in labor.” The lady hopped up and got a wheelchair. I followed them so she wouldn’t be alone until Niall got there. Tyler walked in just before we disappeared behind the door. I held it open and looked at him. “Will you wait here for them?” he nodded and I turned to walk with the nurse. When we got her settled, I told her I was going to go see if they were here yet. She nodded and I walked back out to the lobby to see them standing with Tyler. I motioned for Niall to follow me. “I’m gonna take you to her and then I am gonna go back and wait with Zayn and Ty. They only want family back here.” He nodded and we reached the room. I opened the door and we walked in. He ran over and hugged her, kissing her forehead.
