A New Beginning

Double Surprise!

[If your Twitter name is used in this, I apologize, I tried just making some up and I used some that I saw on Twitter. I don’t mean anything by using it, I just needed names!  :)  ]

Zayn stood up and turned around smiling.

“You look amazing,” he said looking at what I was wearing.

“I could say the same for you,” I smiled and hugged him.

We walked out to the car and he drove us away. We pulled up at a restaurant I didn’t recognize. There were already some paps outside waiting for anyone famous to arrive and I knew there would be more before we left. We had a pretty quiet dinner as far as interruptions go. We talked quite a bit. We finished our dinner and just as I figured there was a ton more paps when we left. They were shouting at us and I just ducked my head and held on to Zayn’s arm so I wouldn’t fall. I wasn’t sure what else he had planned, but I would have been satisfied with just dinner. I climbed in the passenger seat of the car and hooked my seatbelt before he pulled off driving somewhere. I wasn’t sure where we were going, but I knew it wasn’t home because that was in the other direction. I stared out the window at the scenes passing us by as I thought about the conversation Iris and I had last week.

** Flashback (last week) **

We were lounging by the pool, the guys had just left to go to the studio and took Tyler with them. We had been talking for a while before Iris shocked me by asking a question I didn’t expect her to ask.

“So, do you think you two will get married?” she asked. I choked on my tea and looked at her.

“Are you serious? You don’t think it’s too soon?”

“No, not if you really love each other. Besides, I just asked if you thought you two would get married. It’s not like I asked I you would marry him tomorrow,” she laughed. I thought about it and looked at her.

‘Yea, I think so. I mean, if he loves me as much as I love him then we will,” I smiled at her. I saw the gears in her head spinning and knew she was getting ready to ask me something else.

“Well, what if he did ask you now? I mean, it’s obvious you two are in love with each other. Especially since he snuck back over here the night before my wedding because you two couldn’t sleep. He would do anything for you and I know you would do anything for him. Honestly, I can’t see either of you without the other anytime soon,” she said looking at me seriously. I just looked at her for a minute. I actually thought about it. “Think about it, Jess. What if he came home one night and you two are at dinner, here or out somewhere, and after you two start talking. What if he starts saying how much he loves you and knows he couldn’t live without you and all that stuff. What if he asked you to marry him right then? What would you do?” I just looked at her. “Sit back and let it play through your mind for a bit. Go through different scenarios if you want, but promise me you’ll think about it. I just want to see both of you happy and I have honestly never seen either of you as happy as you are now.” I nodded and sat back in the lounge chair. I did what she said. I let her idea play out in my head in a few different ways and in every different way I played it out, I said yes. I sat up and smiled at her and she knew. “You’d say yes wouldn’t you?” I nodded my head yes and smiled even bigger if that was possible.

** Back to today **

I shook my head bringing myself back to the car and out of my memories. He couldn’t be doing that tonight. He would think it was too soon like I did. We were still driving and I really started to wonder where we were going.
