A New Beginning

The Wedding

“I love you too, more than you know,” I said smiling at him, a tear escaping. He quickly wiped it away and we went inside, both of us happier than either one had been in a long time. We sat in the living room with Niall, Iris and Tyler. “So where are you guys staying tonight?” I asked.

“All of us guys are going to Liam’s. Tyler, you are more than welcome to come with us unless you wanna stay here with Iris and Jess,” Niall said looking at him. It was the night before the wedding. All the guys had made plans to stay at Liam’s and Iris and I would stay here so that Niall wouldn’t see her before the ceremony.

“If you don’t mind, I will definitely come with you guys! As much as I love my sister, I may never get another chance to spend the night with all of One Direction!” He said as excited as I had ever seen him.  I looked at Iris.

“Hey, did you ever figure out that music issue you were having about the ceremony?”

“Yea, I asked a friend of the guys to do it for us,” she asked smiling.

“Good! I want everything to go smoothly,” I said returning her smile. We all sat around talking for a bit until the guys went to pack the things they would need: clothes to sleep in, ‘beauty’ products for tomorrow, their tuxes, and a change of clothes for after. We said our goodbyes and waited for them to leave before we got in Iris’s car and went back to the dress shop to pick up our dresses. We had left them there to make sure Niall didn’t see Iris’s dress before tomorrow. We got back to the house and watched movies until Iris wanted to go to bed. I lay in my bed with the TV on but not really paying attention; Zayn was texting me.

To Zayn: I’m supposed to be sleeping. If Iris wakes up from you making me laugh, she will be pissed.

To Jess: So, stop laughing so loud. :)

To Zayn: I will if you stop making me laugh.

To Jess: but I like making you laugh

To Zayn: I like when you make me laugh :)

To Jess: I miss you

To Zayn: It’s only been a couple hours and you’re not far away lol

To Jess: That doesn’t matter

To Zayn: I miss you too :)

To Jess: What are you doing?

To Zayn: TV is on, but you’re distracting me. I only turned it on to help me fall asleep

To Jess: Well go to sleep ;)

To Zayn: If someone would stop texting me, maybe I could ;)

To Jess: Okay, goodnight

To Zayn: Really?

To Jess: No. lol. I just wanted to see what you would say. ;)

To Zayn: Iris will kill us if we mess up the wedding tomorrow lol

To Jess: I know, but I can’t sleep

To Zayn: me either :(

To Jess: I sleep better when you’re with me :(

To Zayn: me too

I didn’t get any more texts for a while so I figured he fell asleep finally. I sat there flipping through the channels on the TV when I heard a noise outside in the hall. It must be Iris getting up for a drink of water or something. I watched the door way to see if she came in. I saw a figure come around the corner that was larger than Iris so I scooted back away from the edge of the bed. The figure raised its hand shushing me.
