A New Beginning

Jess’s POV

It has only been a week since they left and I am already going crazy. We’ve talked on Skype almost every day, we text on days that they don’t have time off to Skype. I miss him so much. It’s like a part of me is gone. Iris and I sat in the living room with Tyler, Danielle, Eleanor, and Brea. We had invited them over since the guys were gone just so we would all have some company.

“I don’t see how you guys do this all the time,” I said looking between Iris, Danielle, and Eleanor. I shook my head and looked down willing the tears to go away.

“Honestly, it really does get easier with time,” El said, trying to comfort me. Danielle agreed with her and looked at me.

“Sometimes, if they have a couple days off in a row they fly over to see us,” she told me.

“Really? Why didn’t he tell me that?” Iris shot a look at Dani.

“He probably wanted it to be a surprise, but even if they do that, we still don’t know when it will be, so it will still sort of be a surprise,” she smiled at me. Brea smiled at me.

“See, I told you it would be alright. We will all make it through this together. Jay comes back in a month and then he can help make you laugh,” she suggested. I nodded my head yes.

“That would be nice,” I smiled. Dani looked at me and pointed upstairs.

“Go get dressed. We’re going out.” We all went out to some club the girls have gone too before. It was a nice night. Thankfully there was no drama, just us girls dancing, drinking, and having a great time. I really needed that to get my mind out of the negativity it had been in and it worked. The next few days went by pretty smoothly. We talked and texted and I got through it better than I thought I would. Iris was in the kitchen making lunch while Tyler and I sat in the living room. His phone went off and he looked at it. I was nosy and I wanted to know who he was talking to. I reached for his phone and he jerked it away.

“Who is it?” I asked. He raised his eyebrows at me.

“Why do you need to know?” I shrugged my shoulders.

“I was just curious”

“It was Niall. He was telling me what they are up to today. I texted him earlier,” he told me. I could tell he was lying, but I didn’t want to get into with him. He wouldn’t give anything up anyway, he never does. I turned back to the TV. We were watching Teen Wolf. I loved this show, but it sucks because the seasons are so short and it basically only comes on around summer. I pulled out my phone and texted Zayn.

To Zayn: What are you guys doing today?

I put my phone back in my pocket figuring it would take a while for him to get back to me. I went up to my room and pulled out my laptop to get on Twitter for a while. My phone dinged before I could log on and I looked at it.

To Jess: Not much. We just had lunch. What are you doing?

To Zayn: Looking at flowers online

To Jess: Why are you looking at flowers online? Wouldn’t it be better to look at them in the store?

To Zayn: Yes, but I want to get an idea of what to look at first.

To Jess: Makes sense. How’s everyone?

To Zayn: Good. Iris has to pee a lot, but that’s the only thing new.

To Jess: TMI, babe. Lol

To Zayn: Sorry. That’s the only new thing around her for now. Lol
