A New Beginning

A Glimpse

They let us leave the hospital the next day, which I was thankful for. I was never a fan of hospitals. A week after that, the other guys came by to see the babies. They took turns holding each one.

Four months after we had left the hospital, Zayn was in the bathroom giving Ari a bath and I was in our room putting away some laundry. We had turned my old room into a nursery for her and moved me into Zayn’s room. I heard the giggling stop, so I looked around the corner and Saw him wrapping her in a towel. This is what I saw:

He was too cute when it came to her. She was going to be spoiled and he knew he was doing it. I hoped she would take after him and be able to sing and play instruments. He began trying to teach her when she was old enough. That night when we finally got her to sleep, we lay in bed talking for a while.

“Do you think we’ll have another one?” he asked.

“I don’t know. That’s up to fate, I guess. We can always try,” I smiled. He winked at me and I laughed.

“If we do, do you want it to be a girl or a boy?” he asked.

“I hope it’s a boy,” I smiled at him.

“Why a boy?”

“So he can be just like you and some insanely lucky girl like me can end up with him like I did with you,” I smiled and he shook his head.

“I happen to think I am the lucky one,” he smiled.

“Why is that?”

“Because, it’s like I was dead until I met you,” he smiled. 

“And I was the same,” I smiled up at him.

“I love you,” he said.

“I love you too,” I told him. He leaned over and kissed me sweetly before pulling me to him. I laid my head on his chest and fell asleep soon after. I heard Ari crying and turned over to get up but she stopped. I looked at the clock. It was 3AM. I groaned and stumbled sleepily into her room. I smiled when I saw why she stopped crying. Zayn was walking around the room with her singing “Talking to the Moon.” That had become her favorite song. I stood there watching them until he got her back to sleep. He turned and looked up when he saw me and smiled. He walked over and wrapped his arms around me kissing my forehead.

“I tried to get to her before she woke you up,” he said. I smiled at him.

“That was nice of you, but I could have gotten her.”

“I know but I wanted to,” he smiled.

“You know you are going to ruin her, right?” I asked.  He nodded and smiled. He took my hand and we walked back to the room and climbed back in bed. It didn’t take long for me to fall back asleep.

Six Years Later

Ariela can play the piano a little now that she is older and Zayn keeps helping her. She did turn out to be a Daddy’s girl like I said she would. When he was home, she would follow him everywhere. Anytime I would say no to something, she would run to him and cry and he would give her whatever she wanted. All the kids seem to be very close to each other and I hope it lasts. It’s always nice to have childhood friends like that. We are also expecting two more babies; Iris and I are pregnant again. She is due in two months and I am due in three, so we are all excited about that. A few months later, we had our babies almost a week apart. Iris and Niall had a girl that they named Bethan Alea Horan. Zayn and I had a boy that we named Zayden James Malik.

I will tell you that Bethan grew up to play guitar and sing, just like Niall. The twins and Niall Jr. became vloggers and were insanely popular on YouTube. Ariela grew up singing and became an actress. Zayden sang and played any instrument that he could get his hands on. He even did some modeling when he was in college so he could earn his own money. Everyone was happy and we all still lived in the same house together which worked out when we needed a babysitter. The twins and Niall Jr. grew up “protecting” Bethan and Ariela from guys. If one of them got hurt or made fun of, the boys were there to make sure it didn’t happen again. When Zayden was old enough, he helped to other boys do just that. We were all proud of the kids and how the stuck together. I had everything I had ever wanted. I had moved to England and found friends that were so close they were like family. I had an absolutely amazing husband that loved me. I had two beautiful and talented children. My wonderful brother had moved to England with me. Life couldn’t be any better for me. I was absolutely happy and nothing could change that.
