First Impressions

I’ve always loved that movie. It had everything: comedy, romance, drama. We fell asleep in each other’s arms again. I’m gonna get too used to this if it happens every night. Once again, I wake up before he does. This time, I am stuck in a position that is next to impossible to get out of without waking him, so I decide to lay there for a while and figure out what to do today. I run through hundreds of possibilities before I remember that they have rehearsals tonight and I will be meeting the other boys for the first time. I automatically become very nervous. What am I gonna wear? What will I say? Are they nice? Obviously they are if Zayn and Niall are in a band with them. What will they be like? Will they like me? I had to slow my mind down, so I decided to attempt to get out of bed. In the middle of my struggle Zayn started laughing. I turned my head to look at him.

“What are you laughing at?”

“You, trying to not wake me. I’ve been awake for a while” I rolled my eyes at him and threw his arms off of me so I could stand up. I walked over to my closet to think about what to wear tonight.

“What are you in such deep thought about over there?” he asked.

“I need to figure out what to wear tonight.”

“To rehearsals?”

“Yes.”

“Don’t hurt yourself worrying over that. It’s just rehearsals.”

“Yes, I know that, but it’s also the first time I am meeting the other guys” He raised his eyebrows.

“Oh, I see how it is… You worry about what you’re gonna look like meeting them, but the day you meet me, you are in sweats and an old shirt. That hurts.” He says dramatically as I roll my eyes once again.

“Oh shut it. One, I didn’t know anyone else was here besides Niall and Iris, and two, I had just left my boyfriend of two years, I didn’t care what I looked like or who saw me.” I said defensively before turning back to my closet. A second later, I felt his arms wrap around my waist and his lips kiss my neck.

“You know I was teasing.” He said apologetically.

“Yes, and I was explaining, just so you know” I smiled. “Perfect. What do you think of this?”

“You will look amazing in whatever you choose, babe.” He kissed my cheek and sat back on the bed. I rolled my eyes once more. Guys never worried about what they wore; and if they did, they didn’t worry like us girls.

“What time are we leaving here?”

“Niall said around 5 because rehearsals start at 630 and we want you to meet the guys first.” I nodded and lay back down on the bed. “Still nervous?”

“Of course. Why wouldn’t I be? I am a girl.” I laughed. He pulled me to him and hugged me.

“Don’t be. You have nothing to be nervous for. The guys are great. They will love you. I promise.” I nodded. I felt his hands move from my back to my sides.  He leaned down and kissed me. I closed my eyes and drifted into the kiss, forgetting everything. All of a sudden, his hands moved again and he tickled me. I slapped him on the arm.

“Stop! Please,” I begged. He shook his head no.

“Why should I? You’re worried about tonight and I am trying to help you forget.” He said as he continued to tickle me.

“Please, Zayn. I can’t take it.” I laughed uncontrollably, “There are other ways to make me forget that I am worried.” I laughed out between breaths. He stopped and looked at me, nose to nose.
