The Party/Dress Shopping

“Hi, nice to meet you. I didn’t think I would ever meet any of you and here you are, dating my sister. Amazing!” He was in such a fangirl mood that I worried what would happen when Niall woke up and came down. Zayn and I sat at the bar and Tyler stood by the sink as we talked over our cups of tea. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and recognized them as Niall’s. His steps were harder than Iris’s. I smiled when I thought about what Tyler was gonna do when we walked in the kitchen. I heard Iris’s steps after Niall reached the bottom of the stairs.

“Good morning,” I said as Niall rounded the corner with Iris behind him. They walked in the kitchen and Niall sat at the bar. Tyler’s eyes widened and I laughed. Iris walked in where Tyler was and made some more tea for them. “Tyler, this is Iris, Niall’s fiancée. Iris, this is my brother Tyler.” They shook hands and he looked back at me. “Tyler, this is Niall. Niall, Tyler.” He walked over and shook Niall’s hand, grinning the entire time. We all sat around talking and laughing for a while. Tyler fixed lunch for everyone and as we were sitting there, I decided to tell him about the party. “So, Tyler, I have a surprise for you,” I said smiling at him.

“Oh really, what is it?” he asked excitedly.

“Well, we are throwing a party tonight because you are here,” I said.

“Ohmygod! Really?”

“Yea, and Zayn asked the other guys to come. Is that okay?” I asked, knowing that he was totally going to fangirl.

“Is that okay? Sweet Lord, my biggest dream has been to meet them and now I am. You are the best sister I could have ever had!” He said super excited. I was laughing now and everyone else was smiling at us. “Can I take pictures? Would you and the other guys be okay with that?” he asked cautiously. Niall nodded yes. I knew he didn’t really care if Tyler took pictures.

“Yea, I don’t see why not. I’m sure the others won’t mind,” Zayn said. Tyler had the biggest smile on his face I had ever seen. I sat back in my chair watching everyone talking and realized, for the first time in a long time that I was finally happy and I wasn’t worried about anything. “While I’m thinking about it,” Zayn said looking between Tyler and me, “We have a show close to here next week, will you guys come?” I looked at Tyler and saw his eyes were huge and laughed.

“That means yes in fangirl,” I laughed. “I’m sure he would love to, but I don’t think he can speak right now. He’s probably about to have a heart attack; meeting One Direction and being invited to their concert in one day, he’s gone.” We all sat around talking and laughing for a bit. Tyler finally calmed down and was acting more at ease around the guys until the other ones started showing up. Liam and Danielle were first, followed by Harry, and of course, Louis and Eleanor were last. Tyler was full on fangirling when they were all in the same room. He finally got used to the fact that I was friends with them and calmed down so he could enjoy the party. We all hung around talking and laughing. Some were in the pool or Jacuzzi while others sat in the chairs around it while we still talked. It was a great night. My life really had changed for the better and I couldn’t be happier. Tyler walked over to me and asked to talk to me. We walked far enough away that everyone else couldn’t hear us, but could still see us. “Is something wrong?” I asked. He shook his head no.

“No, I just wanted to talk to you a minute,” he said as we sat on a bench in the backyard. “Are you sure you are happy?”

“Yes,” I said without hesitation. “Tyler, I know you are going to worry about me because you are my brother and Zayn is famous, but really, I am much, much better off with him than I ever was with Ryan. I promise you that.” I grabbed his hand in mine and looked him in the eyes, “Ty, if I had stayed with Ryan I would be dead by now. That’s how bad it was getting with him and how bad it got after I left him. You can ask anyone here. They all know about it and they were all at the club when he knocked me out.” His mouth dropped open in shock.
