A New Beginning

“This is perfect,” he said smiling.

“Why do you say that?” I asked.

“Because, you two are best friends and now you’re pregnant at the same time. Your kids are gonna grow up together and be best friends. It’s awesome, just think about it. What if they fall in love after being best friends all their lives? That would be fantastic!” he said.

“Ty, calm down.” I laughed.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” Iris said. We walked downstairs and sat in the living room waiting for the guys to get back. I hoped they would have a late night at the studio not that I didn’t want to see him, but so I wouldn’t let it accidentally slip. I didn’t have that kind of luck. My phone dinged and I looked at it.

To Jess: Almost done here. Be home soon!

To Zayn: Alright. :) Take your time

“Well, no luck in the guys having a late night. Zayn said they were almost done,” I said looking between Iris and Tyler. “What am I going to do? You guys know I can’t keep something from him.”

“Well, you could just tell him,” Tyler suggested.

“But what about the other test?” I asked.

“Jess, 99.9% of all positive pregnancy tests are really positive. It’s rare that you will take a pregnancy test and it is positive, and then wait and take one the next morning and it is negative,” he explained.

“It’s true,” Iris said agreeing with him. I sighed and looked at them both.

“Then I guess I’m telling him,” I said. “How should I do it? Should I lay the test out and let him find it or should I tell him?”

“I know! You should wrap it. Like put it in a little box and wrap it like a present,” Iris suggested.

“I don’t have a box,” I said.

“I do,” Tyler said as he stood up and went to his room. He brought me a box that would fit perfectly. I went upstairs and got the test from the drawer placing it in the box. I went to the office and took out some wrapping paper from the closet and wrapped it. I tied a bow around it too, just for looks. I walked back downstairs and put it in the drawer of the hallway desk and left it there for when he got home. “You should text him and tell him you have a present for him,” Tyler suggested. I pulled out my phone and texted Zayn.

To Zayn: I have a present for you when you get home :)

It didn’t take long for him to text me back.

To Jess: Really? Will I like it?

To Zayn: You better like it! I kind of can’t take it back. No refunds or exchanges! :/

To Jess: lol, I’m sure I will love it no matter what you got me ;)

To Zayn: Tyler is just over here grinning like a fool. He knows what it is ;)

To Jess: hmmmm… I wonder what it could be…

To Zayn: The faster you get home, the faster you will see…

To Jess: Ten more minutes, I swear

To Zayn: lol I’m just teasing you, take your time, babe.

To Jess: No, you got me intrigued now….

To Zayn lol I love you :)

To Jess: I love you more ;) I’ll text you when we leave <3
