A New Beginning

The Visit

To Jess: Hey, I hope you guys have room because I am coming to visit! My plane lands in three hours!

I jumped up yelling and ran to find Iris. She was scared to death when she saw me running and screaming. I ran and jumped over the back of the couch landing on the cushion.

“Oh my God! What’s wrong?” she asked.

“Nothing, oh my God! Tyler’s coming to visit!” I shouted. I hadn’t seen my brother since I moved here. I mean, I had seen him on Skype and stuff but not in person.

“Oh my God that’s great!! When’s he coming?”

“His plane lands in three hours!!”

“Great! He can help us plan the wedding! How long is he staying?” she asked.

“I don’t know, he didn’t say. Did you pick a date?”

“Next month!” I jumped up and down before hugging her tight.

“Ohmygod! I’m so excited!” I didn’t think the wedding would be so soon, but then again they had already been together for two years and living together for a while too. I couldn’t wait. I loved weddings and this one would most likely be my favorite, besides my own if I ever have one, because it is my two best friends getting married.

“Three weeks from tomorrow! I’ve already started with some of the planning, but I need your help.”

“Of course! What can I do?” I asked. We sat in the living room going over what she had already done and what she still wanted to do. We made a list of things for each of us to handle.

“There’s one last thing I have to take care of though,” she said looking at me with concern. I furrowed my eyebrows at her.

“What is it?”

“Will you be my Maid of Honor?” I slapped her arm lightly.

“Why would you even think I would say no? After everything you and Niall have done for me, of course. I would love to” I smiled at her.

“So, dress shopping tomorrow?”  I thought about it for a minute before answering her.

“Tomorrow might be busy, why don’t we take Monday off and go then?” I suggested.

“Why will tomorrow be busy?”

“Tyler’s coming in a few hours. I’ll be really tired from going to the airport in the middle of the night. It’s the first night Zayn & Niall are home from the tour, so I know you two will be up most of the night anyway,” I laughed, teasing her. “Trust me Monday will be better, unless you want to wait until next weekend.”

“No, we need to do it as soon as possible in case they need to do alterations on the dresses.”

“I thought so,” I laughed and looked at my watch. It was 10PM, so I had some time to waste until I went to get Tyler. “Dear Lord, I do NOT want to go to the airport at 1:30 in the morning by myself.” She laughed.

“So, drag Zayn with you,” she suggested. I shook my head no.

“I can’t do that. Tyler would freak out. He already freaked out when we Skyped and I told him we were dating. One Direction is his favorite band remember?” I reminded her.

“Oh, that’s right. Did he have a favorite member?” she asked. I laughed.

“Yea, he did,” I smiled at her.

“Well, judging from your smile it’s either Niall or Zayn.”

“Zayn,” I said laughing.

“What are you laughing at? Did I do something?” he asked walking in hearing his name. He sat on the couch beside me and kissed my forehead.
