It was nearly 11 when we got home, but Iris and Niall were still in the living room.

“Did you have fun?” she asked me.

“You knew?” I asked. She shook her head yes and smiled. “Of course you knew, you know everything,” I laughed. “Of course I had fun, it was OneRepublic!” I said as I plopped down on the couch. Zayn hung his jacket in the closet and sat on the couch beside me.

“See, I told you she would like it,” Niall said smiling.

“I should have figured both of you knew,” I said rolling my eyes. Zayn and Niall’s phones both went off at the same time causing everybody to stop and look at each other before busting out laughing. It was Liam telling them they had a meeting in the morning and not to be late.

“Guess that means you’re coming with us,” Zayn said looking at me.

“Iris will be here, I wouldn’t be alone,” I said. I didn’t want to intrude on their business, but I knew he wouldn’t have me staying here without one of the guys.

“Not good enough. I know she’s you best friend and, no offense girls, but what could she possibly do against him or someone like him?” He raised his eyebrows at me and I knew he had a valid point.

“Fine, you win.”

“Good,” he said smiling. “Now, we need to go to bed because the meeting is at 9 so we will have to get up a bit early,” he said before standing and reaching for my hand. We went upstairs, changed, and went to sleep. We got to the studio the next morning and he and Niall had to explain why I was there. Once they explained, no one objected to me being there. The meeting took about an hour and a half. When it was over, we all went to lunch. We sat around a table talking and eating.

“So, a radio tour,” I said.

“Yep, four weeks on the road.” Harry said smiling. I looked at Zayn.

“What about Ryan?” I said the worry evident in my eyes.

“Let’s wait and see how the trial goes Monday and then we can figure it out from there,” he smiled trying to make me feel better. I gave a weak smile back. I was nervous that things wouldn’t go well. We went home and had a relaxing night on the patio with Iris and Niall. We sat by the pool talking and laughing well into the night. I glanced at my phone and saw that it was close to 10PM. I stood up and stretched.

“I think I am gonna head to bed. I have to be at the courthouse in the morning,” I said before walking inside to my room. I changed into my pajamas and climbed into bed thinking about what would happen tomorrow. A few minutes later I felt the bed dip and I knew it was Zayn. He slid in behind me and wrapped his arms around me, kissing the side of my head by my ear causing me to smile.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked I sighed and turned to look at him.

“Tomorrow. What if things don’t go well? What if he’s released?” I said as I felt the tears form in my eyes.

“You don’t have to worry about him anymore. You should know that by now. I highly doubt that he will be released, especially after all the things we’ve told the police, but if he is, we will deal with that when it happens,” he smiled down at me. I took a deep breath and looked up at him placing my hand on his cheek.

“As long as you’re here, I know I don’t have to worry about anything.” He pressed his forehead to mine and kissed me softly.

“I love you”

“I love you too” We fell asleep soon after still holding on to each other. I woke the next morning to the alarm clock going off. It was 7AM. I wasn’t a morning person, but I knew I had to be in court by 9AM so I dragged myself out of bed and got in the shower. When I got out, I towel dried my hair and threw my bathrobe on. I walked back in my room to see Zayn still asleep. I walked over to the bed and shook him to wake him up. I called his name a few times, he still wouldn’t wake up.
