Jess’s POV

I took a bite of the sandwich, thinking I wasn’t really hungry and wound up eating every bit of it.

“I must have been hungrier than I thought.” I laughed. Zayn smiled.

“Do you want something else?”

“No, thank you. I’m alright for now.” I smiled and hugged him. “Thank you for helping me.” He kissed the top of my head.

“It’s alright. I would feel bad if I didn’t do something, ya know?” I nodded slightly. “So, I was thinking about the next two weeks and how you can’t really do anything,” he said.

“Yeah?” I said, suddenly curious. I wonder what he is thinking…

“Yeah and I have an idea. I think what I have in mind will keep us both occupied for those two weeks.” He pulled back a little and looked at me. “What if we went somewhere?” I looked a little confused.

“What exactly do you mean?” I asked.

“What I meant is, why don’t we go on a vacation? I’m sure we could find somewhere with no TV and no computer but that will also keep us occupied for two weeks,” he explained. I let the thought sink in for a minute.

“Are you sure you want to do that?”

“Why not? It would get us away from all the press that’s gonna be happening soon, get us away from Ryan, and we would have some peace and quiet so you can rest, “he smiled. I sat there thinking about everything that has happened recently, the consequences of which still haven’t really surfaced yet, and decided it sounded like an amazing plan.

“Let’s do it.” I said smiling up at him. He leaned down and kissed me before pulling me back into the hug. We stayed like that for a few minutes before he pulled back again.

“Alright, do you want to go to the couch or do you want to stay here? I am going to the office to get started planning our trip so we can get out of here,” he laughed.

“Well, why don’t you just stay here and you can use my laptop?” I suggested, smiling.

“Okay,” he said, laughing. “Where is it?”

“Um, I think it is over on that big chair under my jacket.” He walked over to the armchair and lifted my jacket to find my laptop. He grabbed it and walked back to the bed to sit beside me. He opened the laptop and waited for it to start up.

“So, any ideas on where to go?” he asked.

“Not really. I’ve never really been on a proper vacation, just a family trip to the beach now and then when I lived in the states. I am leaving the planning up to you.” I smiled at him. He nodded.

“Alright then, I guess it’s up to me.” He pulled up the internet and started looking at different places. He noticed me looking and turned the laptop away from me. “Hey! No computers! Lay back and rest. I’ll let you know when I am done.” I rolled my eyes and lay back on the bed. “I saw that”

“Saw what?”

“You rolled your eyes at me,” he said.

“And that bothered you?”

“Actually it did a little.” I rolled my eyes again and closed them to try and rest.

“You just did it again, didn’t you?” he asked.

“Yes, I did.” I told him, giggling.

“You better stop before you get in trouble,” he warned. I giggled and rolled over facing away from him. I left him alone so he could finish what he was doing. I must have fallen asleep cause when I turned back over, he was asleep beside me. I shifted from where I was and closed the gap in between us. I laid my head on his chest and lay there listening to his heart. I let the past week’s events replay in my mind, taking in everything that happened and everything I felt. I hoped he had booked the trip late enough that I could talk to Iris before we left. I should text her and let her know. I reached over him and grabbed my phone to text her. I returned to my position and felt a hand grab mine and take the phone away. “Nope. Doctor said to texting,” he reminded me. I pouted. “Not gonna work,” he smiled.
