Chapter 43

I was falling and it was like a deja vu but instead of Hera, I'm the one who's falling. And dying, for real this time.

I thrashed and flapped my arms, trying my best to hold on to anything but there was nothing but air. Everything slowed down as I was falling. Naalala ko ang pagkamatay ni Papa sa mismong harapan ko, ang pagkamatay ni Mama. Pati na ang pagtakas namin ni Tita Isa. Ang pagbaboy sa kaniya ni Argaut, ang pagtakas ko kay Hera, ang pagkahulog niya. Lahat ng iyon, they flashed before my very eyes. Anger and sadness coated my every being but I also remember Daniel's brown eyes.

I remember the very first time we met, the day I dragged him to our small tent. The time he woke up. The moment we saw each other again in Aisya Lam. When he saved me, when he saved Nikolai. When he first kissed me and I kissed him back. The feelings he made me feel, the happiness he evoke. The love he unravel. I felt so loved and grateful for being alive because of him and Nikolai. And I will continue living for them! No matter what, I will always keep on fighting to live, kahit gaano ka kahirap, para sa kanya kakayanin ko. Para sa kanila. Para sa pamilya ko.

I was falling then suddenly I was not. Sa sobrang pagkalito, I look down and I'm floating! No, more like flying but with no direction and clearly with no control! With wide eyes, I tried to move but I ended up flying towards the opposite the direction.

I don't know how to fly. I don't know how to get down!

I tried my best to navigate and though I'm not really doing a good job, I still made my body move towards the direction I want. Inisip ko na lang na parang paglangoy ang paglipad. Like how I navigate the current over my body while swimming, now I need to feel the breeze around me as I fly.

With me above, I saw how the fire is getting bigger as Maya fought sword to sword against trained soldiers. Aira is also trying her best to make sure the enemies won't escape to ask for back ups. Han is gravely wounded but is still trying to fight the witch. Kyle and Bason are running, charging head on towards the numerous foe. And Daniel, he's fighting, bleeding but still moving.

The majority of our enemies were scattered all over the Kingdom, planning to attack gaya ng hinala ni King Sin. It's a good thing the Fire Fae soldiers are already marching towards here to fight the rebels.

We still don't know who we can trust in here kaya humingi ng tulong si King Sin kay Haring Ra El ng Earth Kingdom. As we try our best to stay alive here, they are also fighting outside, trying to cleanse the enemies. Pero natatakot ako. Hindi lang para sa sarili namin pero para na rin sa mga mamamayan. Ano ang magiging resulta nito sa buhay nila? Karamihan sa mga mamamayan, nailikas na sa ligtas na lugar ni Mang Karos pero hindi pa rin ito sapat para mailigtas silang lahat. This battle would destroy them and I don't want that to happen. But either way, we need to move or our enemies will destroy them for us.

Bago pa ako masanay sa paglipad, Hera flew and knocked me over. The impact was so strong that my body went crashing to the wall. Nayanig ang dingding at nahulog ang mga bato, some of it fell on to me as I fall too. I groaned so hard when my foot twisted that my throat feels like on fire.

Bumama si Hera and she threw her daggers at me. Straight into my heart but I was able to avoid it in mere seconds. I crawled, avoiding her attacks.

Nang maubos ang punyal, she used her power to make one. Waters from all over the place flew towards her direction. She moved her hands and created daggers of all sort out of water.

While she's creating her weapons, mabilis kong ginamot ang paa ko. I was already loosing strength but I managed to heal myself just in time to see her with ten daggers floating all over her.

"Die!!"  With her battle cry, the daggers moved, aiming at me. I immediately moved my body to avoid it but it just kept on coming. Everytime I avoided a dagger, it crashed on the wall then it returned to its former form.
