*Lexie*

The day I had been dreaming of since I was six had happened. It was the day before my opening night. I was nervous out of my mind to say the least. Rachel Berry...well, she was something else. She's been jealous of me ever since I got the role. I mean, of course, it made sense. I got the big Broadway part, and she didn't.

"Alexandra."

"Rachel."

*Scarlett*

You know, sometimes things happen and you don't expect them to. I never expected that something like this would happen. Seriously, I didn't. It was a perfectly normal day. I was walking down a perfectly populated sidewalk. There were people surrounding me. Now that I look back on that, it does make sense to me why it happened on the street that I was on.

*Lexie*

"I hope you know, Lexie, that I'm going on tomorrow. I'm going to be on that stage singing that song."

I smirked a little bit. "That's funny, Rachel. Really it is. Because, if you think about it...I got the boy, and now, I'm gonna get the part. The only way that you're ever going to be on that stage is over my dead body."

Rachel just stared at me. She made that stupid smirk that she makes whenever she thinks she has a clever plan. It's never really that clever. Everything she does is for revenge. And I mean, everything. I think, one time, she bribed A.J to try and get Finn to go out with her. I mean, A.J has always been on my side when it came to the Finchel/Linn situation. Her smirk continued for a minute or two before she turned around and began back on her way to her dressing room.

*Scarlett*

I didn't even notice when the guy came up behind me. That's what he did. He came up right from behind me and took my purse. I just stood there, not knowing what to do. Some random lady called the police and I thanked her for it. But it wasn't until I heard shouting that I had actually turned my attention to the two men running down the street.

*Lexie*

I was walking up to my dressing room, when the next thing I knew, I was tumbling down the steps backwards and soon, I couldn't feel anything.

*A.J*

I stood in the kitchen, still trying to process everything that had happened in the past few days. A lot had happened and I needed to just have a few days to process everything, but of course, in my case, there never was a day to relax.

I had just finished making coffee when my phone rang. I had it sitting on the counter next to my hand, so it was easy to grab. A number that I didn't recognize came across my phone. It must've been important because when I let it go to voicemail, the number ran again. This time, I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this A.J Hudson?" A woman asked from across the other line.

"Yes.."

She sighed and I knew that whatever this phone call was about...well...it couldn't've been good. "Do you know an Alexandra May?" I sighed. "Yes."

"Miss Hudson, while at rehearsal today for her Broadway musical, she fell down the stairs. She's been confirmed dead." It felt like all the air left my lungs. "We have hospitals from all over the country coming to retrieve her organs, due to her being an organ donor. Um...they won't be here for another hour/hour and a half. You and a few others can come and say your goodbyes."

I had to hold back tears. "Yeah, um...we'll be in soon."

"Alright." The woman said begore hanging up the phone.

I fell to the ground, the cup of coffee hitting the floor and shattering into a million pieces. I dialed the first number that came up on my phone. I didn't even look for the name.

"Hello?"

"Oh, thank god. I called the right person."

"A.J, what's wrong?"

"Finn, it's Lexie. She...she...she fell down the stairs during her rehearsal. She's dead."

I could hear his voice start to break with everything in him before I spoke again. "I'm gonna go and say goodbye...I can come get you if you want."

"No...I'll meet you there."

Before I could even say goodbye, he hung up the phone. I stood up, ran over to put my shoes on, grabbed my keys and ran out the door towards my car to get to the hospital to say goodbye to one of my best friends.

*Scarlett*

"If I knew who took my bag, would I be standing here? Aren't you cops? Isn't your job to figure out who took my bag?"

"She isn't wrong. That is our job." The shorter one said. I glanced over to him and then back to the other cop that stood in front of me. "Listen, you are the one who got the best look at his face. All we're asking is that you come to the station and give a description to a sketch artist." I sighed and looked down to the ground.

"Listen, the ring I was gonna use to propose to my girlfriend with is in that bag. I need you to get it back for me...please."

I just happened to look up as A.J came running towards me. "Oh, A.J. Thank God. Could you please tell them that I need to get my bag back-"

"Scarlett, it's Lexie." The hurt in her voice made it clear that something terrible had happened to Lexie. "What? What about Lexie?"

"She fell off the stage during her rehearsal today...she's dead, Scarlett."

I felt my entire body freeze up. Everything moved so fast that I hadn't even noticed that we were in her car until we were in her car.

*A.J*

When we finally got to the hospital--Finn had met me and Scarlett there--I ran over to the front desk to try and find out where Lexie was. "Hi, can I help you?" The woman at the front desk asked. "Hi, we're looking for Lexie May. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me that we could come and see her before they retrieved her organs."

The woman typed something into the computer before looking at us. "Oh, I'm sorry, she's not in the system." I just looked at her. A doctor walked over to talk to us.

"Hi," they began, "I'm Dr. Bressett, I was the doctor assigned to Miss. May's case." I smiled at them sarcastically. "Great, thanks for sharing. Could you just tell me where Lexie is?" The doctor smiled at us with kind eyes.

"When she got here, everything was all set and ready to go. We had scheduled organ retrieval for her. But, as the O.R nurses, finished preparing setting her up, her heart started beating again. We ran a few tests on her, just to see if her brain was working. She...uh...had complete brain function, she was able to move her hands and feet. She was able to talk and to blink. She was stable. So, doing what was best for my patient, I transferred her to one of the best hospitals in the country. They have the best plastic surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurological surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons. They are all working their hardest to keep her alive."

I just stared at him, blankly. "Where is the hospital she was transferred to?"

"Seattle Grace Mercy West."

*Hi! So the next few chapters are gonna be crossover chapters between Greys Anatomy and Glee....their storyline isn't really important to the story, so if you wanna skip it you can :)
