[Sam's Point of View]

So, it had been a few months since we had moved back to Lima. Everything was going well. A.J had gotten a few more kids, but still not enough. A.J had some errands she had to run today, so I thought now was a better time than ever. 

She was having a difficult time with all of this. Running her own glee club and everything. She was never used to having to collaborate with the way that everyone's voices sounded. She was driving herself crazy.

Don't get me wrong, I loved her and all, but when she's driving herself crazy, even the smallest thing makes her angry. I sat on the couch wrong and I didn't get to sleep in the room that night.

Today was a different day though, I had something special planned. That was why I had planned a secret meeting--between everyone, except A.J. I mean, that was the whole point of a secret meeting, was it not? 

Everyone sat in the chairs in front of me, staring at me. It was quiet in the room for a minute, before Finn spoke. "Dude, why are we here?" I sighed. "I wanna propose to A.J." The entire room went quiet. "Have you even earned her trust back from what happened in New York?" Scarlett asked.

"I was in the hospital, Sam, but I know that she was really hurt by it. Think of it this way, okay?" Lexie began, "A.J isn't one to keep sentimental things. She only keeps sentimental things when she's really hurt. I've only known her for so long, but she's like that. She kept everything that reminded her of you. Your cereal. Your favorite blanket, hell, she kept your dog. I think, what you should do before you even start planning your proposal is talk to her. Make sure you've got her trust." 

I just stared at them all for a minute. "We're living together, I mean, doesn't that mean she has my trust?" 

"Dude, I have lived with A.J my entire life. Just because you live with her, doesn't mean that you have her trust. The amount of times I've had her trust and not had it is insane, but, do what Lexie said. Make sure you have her trust before you even think about this. She may not show it but she's a very sensitive person, Sam. Her hearts only been broken once...who knows what's to happen if it's broken a second time." 

Everyone agreed with him for a minute before the entire room went silent. Finn nodded his head to the back of the room, where A.J came in. "Hey...why are you having a secret meeting without me?" She asked. Lexie looked like she was thinking of something. 

"We are planning your birthday party...it was going to be a surprise but, now it's not anymore. So, good job, ruining your own birthday party." Lexie told her. A.J looked confused for a minute before nodding her head. "Anyway, you guys should go home and get your mail." 

"Why?" Finn asked her. 

"Because I just got a subpoena. I have to testify against Rachel."
