The choir room was loud, as it normally was before Mr. Shue came in and told us the weekly lesson. He walked into the room and was extravagant as usual.

"Alright, this weeks lesson...iconic duos." I raised my hand gingerly. "Mr. Shue, do you know what an iconic duo is?" He nodded. "Yeah...like...Batman and Robin." I sighed. He went back to his lesson. "Anyway, I have put all of your names in a hat and each of you will pick a partner to do a duet with. Who wants to go first?" I stood up and walked down. "Mr. Shue, if I get Puck, can I pick again? I didn't really end that relationship on good terms." He nodded. But, of course I didn't get Puck. It didn't surprise me who I got, because it was the one person who I always got. For everything.

"Finn."

I turned and smiled sarcastically before turning and sitting at my seat. "But I wanted to do one with Lexie." I sighed. "It's not like I picked you on purpose. It's you and me, big brother." I patted him on the shoulder and leaned back. He sighed. Next up was Scarlett. She was quite eager to go up and pick who she got. She turned before she read the name on her sheet of paper.

"Santana." She said, with a huge smile on her face. Lexie went next, and of course, she got Sam. I got her boyfriend and she got the guy I was having major crushes on. Wasn't that how it always worked when it came to the glee club?  After everyone else picked, I headed out to my locker to get the things I needed before I left the school for the day. Like I said before, everyone was bombarding me at my locker. I mean, even people I would see later in the day, they would bombard me at my locker.

"You told him?" I stopped and turned to look at the two that stood there. "Specify please." I said to them, going back to my locker. "You told Finn the reason why you weren't talking to him." Scarlett said to me, leaning against the lockers next to mine. "Why do you have a problem with me telling him? It doesn't have anything to do with you." Scarlett scoffed and Lexie took her spot. "A.J, you do realize that he is now trying to spend a lot more time with you. He thinks that you don't spend enough time together and that you need to spend more time together in order to make your senior year as good as it could be without him here."

I sighed and shut the locker. "Alright, so, you two are like my best friends. And I am so thankful that you are both very happy and that you both have people that you love so much...that you were willing to...do things with them. But, this is my relationship with my brother, so do me a favor and please, butt the hell out."

"Actually, Quinn and I broke up. Right after you and Puck did actually.."

I made an approving groan before Scarlett and Lexie both looked at each other. "You already know he's stressed out. He was stressed out before you even talked to him." I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at the two of them. "Why was he stressed out before?"

"Because he knew...that he was the reason you stayed out of trouble."

I was taken back by that comment. If he knew, why was he always so clueless when it came to this stuff? I stopped and looked down to the floor. "He knew?" I practically mumbled to the floor. "He didn't even want to leave. He was gonna stay here and co-direct the glee club with Mr. Shue. He wasn't gonna go to New York. But, after a lot of talks to convince him and spare time—a lot of spare time, I mean, I had to clear my schedule at one point.."

"Lexie, the point."

"Right. When you talked to Finn, it made him think and he decided that he's gonna join the military. And he's gonna go right after graduation." I stopped and just looked at them for a minute. "Oh...what're you gonna do about it, Lexie?" She sighed. "I've talked to him...tried to get him to come to New York with me, but he's got his sights set on joining the military." I just stared at them. "So then, have Scarlett talk to him. Let me talk to him. If he joins the military, we could be the people who get the letters that he's dead."
