I put on my best disguise. Finn and Lexie had their second date tonight. Their first one...well, he blew her off. Scarlett had finally convinced them to go on a second date. But, us being the friends we were, we had to spy. I was going dressed up like I never would and Scarlett was doing the same. We even made a plan. We were specific.
Finn would leave five minutes before I did to go and get Lexie. Scarlett would pull up, I would get in and we would drive. The reservation would just be under Hudson (Finn obviously made it for Finn, so Hudson wasn't that obvious). Then, we would get the table across from them and listen as carefully as possible. If all went well, Finn and Lexie would both be in a relationship by the end of the night.
It was go time. I saw Finn pull out of the driveway and I ran over and picked up my phone. I texted Scarlett and she said she was already on her way. It was great. It was going to be great. Of course, I still didn't agree with her girlfriend choice, but that wasn't my decision. When we arrived at Breadstix, we looked around the parking lot.
"There." I said, pointing to Finn's car. Scarlett pulled into the spot two spaces away and we went in. The woman at the front was very nice. "Do you have a reservation?" I nodded. "Yeah, Hudson?" The woman scanned through the book and then noticed that the name was there. "Ah, there it is. Any specific table?" I pointed to the one that was across from Finn and Lexie.
She nodded and led us over to the table. We sat down and listened very carefully. It didn't seem like it was going all too well. Lexie didn't seem very interested and Finn...well...he was Finn. All we had ordered was water when I saw Lexie get up and leave. I panicked. Scarlett threw down a ten dollar bill on the table and we both got up to follow her.
"A.J?"
"Hi, Finn. Bye, Finn." I ran out the door and to were Lexie was. "Lex?" She turned and looked at me. "What're you doing here? Were you...were you spying on us?" I bobbled my head back and forth, trying to give her a maybe answer. "What happened? You were all over him last year?"
"When I had a big crush on him, he didn't like me back. So, the interest started to fade and eventually disappear. It's not like I can do anything about it...I need a ride home, and Scarlett is staying with me...do you think you could give me a ride home?"
Scarlett looked at me, then to Lexie. "Give her a ride home, Scarlett. I'm gonna go talk to Finn. See if he's okay. He...um...he's never okay when it comes to stuff like this." Scarlett just looked at me. "Are you sure?" I nodded. "I'm sure, Scarlett. Just go. I'll see you at school tomorrow."
The two nodded and got into Scarlett's car, when I walked back in, I told the lady at the greeting area I was going to talk to Finn. I sat down. "Why would she leave?" I looked at him.
"Finn, last year, she liked you...a lot. You didn't like her. Now, to guys when girls don't like them back, they just move on. But for girls, when a guy doesn't like them back, it breaks them a little inside. Lexie...was broken the moment she stepped foot in here tonight. And you broke her. Girls aren't cars that you take to a shop to get fixed. Girls are those really rare cars that nobody can find the parts for. The one part that they're missing...is love. And unless they get that spare part, then, they aren't fixed."
He sighed and looked down at the table. "Can we go home now? I'm kinda tired." He nodded. Finn left a twenty dollar bill on the table and we got up and left. Boy, oh boy, was tomorrow gonna be a fun day.

Today was actually a pretty exciting day. It was the day when we found out what the school musical was. Honestly, I wasn't that excited about it. I wasn't big on musicals. But, it always depended on the one.
When I got into glee today, everyone was waiting for Mr. Shue to name the musical. "This years musical is...Rocky Horror." I raised my hand. "Mr. Shue, I want to be Frank'N'Furter." Everyone just looked at me. "A.J, that part is normally played by a guy."
I nodded. "Yeah, and? The only guy in here who's masculinity isn't fragile enough to play a transgender character is Kurt, and the last thing he needs is to be walking around like that."
"Thank you?"
"Just...let me do it." He nodded. "Fine. A.J will be Frank'N'Furter." Rachel grabbed onto Finn's arm. "Finn and I will play Janet and Brad."
"Actually, Rachel, I wanted to play Janet." Lexie spoke up. Rachel turned around and stared at her. "Janet is my role, Lexie. Maybe you'll do well as Magenta."
"Lexie is going to audition for Janet, Rachel. Okay, and if she gets the part. Then so be it. You can be a Magenta. Don't test me, Rachel. I already don't like you." Finn turned and looked at me. "I'm fine. I don't need you staring at me."
He scoffed. "Sam can play creature."
Oh dear god.
