The day had come. Graduation. It was my last day as a high schooler. We all stood there, in our red caps and gowns. Sam was in front of me--with e going before h and all that. He turned to me. "Are you okay? You're doing that weird hand thing you do when you get nervous." I smiled a little and then went right back to my nervous stage. "No, I'm not okay. I leave for New York next week. I only have enough money in my savings account to stay in New York for a month, then I have to live in those small dorms with a roommate who knows nothing about me.."

"Hey. I will go to New York with you. I will help you. When I get jobs, I can help pay the rent. We can do this. You know why I know that?" I shrugged. "Because I love you." I froze, something I always seemed to do when someone expressed feelings for me. "You love me?" He smiled a little and nodded. "Who doesn't love you?"

"A lot of people, actually." I sighed. "But--since it seems to be customary when someone says I love you--I love you, too."

"Samuel Evans." Sue called. "Go. Graduate. I'm right behind ya." He nodded and walked out the door. I smiled as I waited for my name to be called. "Amelia Jane Hudson." I opened the door and walked out.

Sitting in the front row, smiling brightly at me, were not only my parents, but Finn and Lexie and Scarlett and Santana. All looking at me. I smiled a little wider as I walked up to the stage. I took my diploma and stood next to everyone.

I leant over to Blaine and Sam. "Did you know that they were coming?" I asked the two. Blaine leant over to me. "It was Sam's idea to have them fly out. I talked to Lexie about it and she got Scarlett, Santana, and Finn on board." I nodded. I glanced down to the four sitting there. Finn and Lexie were lovey, as always. They had been together for nearly three years. Santana and Scarlett on the other hand, it was a lot of new...things. "What's with the sexy hand holding between Scarlett and Santana?"

"I think they're going out." Blaine said to me. "What? Since when?" He thought for a moment before turning back to me. "Since Finn went back to New York. After the whole Scarlett/Finn thing." I cocked my head to the side. "How did you find out about that?" He smirked. "You think I don't eavesdrop when I wanna eavesdrop. I know about the drama between the two of them. So, I think the sexy hand holding between Scarlett and Santana is a lot more than sexy hand holding."

I just let my mouth drop open for a second before I looked down to the four people sitting in the front row. Sam was standing behind me, his hand slowly inching forward towards mine. Finn just looked at me. I waved awkwardly at him, but he just continued staring. And that was when it hit me. I was holding Sam's hand and Finn had noticed it. I rolled my eyes and held my hand up a little higher. He smiled like he was happy for me before looking to Lexie. He whispered something to her and then turned back to me.

Lexie gave me a thumbs up and turned back to Scarlett and Santana. I sighed. "Are they giving you a thumbs up because I'm holding your hand?" I nodded. "Why?" I sighed. "Because the last time I had a boyfriend, some bad things happened. So, that is what they are talking about it. Besides, they've known that I've been in love with you since sophomore year."

It took a few more minutes before everyone else had gotten their diploma. "Ladies and gentlemen, McKinley High's graduating class of 2013!" Everyone clapped for a minute before Tina stepped in front of all of us. "So...I can't go to New York with you guys...because I got into Brown!"

I let out a deep gust of air before looking at Tina. "It's nothing against you, Tina...I just don't want to have to deal with another narcissist. I already had to deal with Rachel Berry. College is supposed to be fun times. I can't have fun times if you're there. I wanna live in New York for as long as I can."

Sam looked at me. "What if I wanna move back here?" I smiled lightly. "Then, we'll figure it out. We aren't even in New York, yet. We'll figure that out when the time comes." We all smiled and turned off the stage.

That was the first time we ever walked through that school as high school graduates.
