Forty three : Pain

"Ah why would they keep this at the very end." Jungkook groaned in annoyance when he finally spots the dairy section.

Wandering all over the store with eyes glued on every shelf just to find milk was so tiring, moreover he wanted to stay close to taehyung and this 'finding the milk' job was not really helping.

Cursing and huffing, he grabbed three packets of milk, gotten his hands full with face written in irritation. Jungkook was ready to turn around but hears his name stuttering out weakly. "jungkook?"

He turns to his side, to the source of the call only to find a tall blonde women in a knee length ruffled red dress, staring at him with wide eyes.

Jungkook looks at her in bewilderment, he stupidly looks around to check if she's looking at him or not. But she took his name, that's when he responded, "Yes?"

Lisa gulps hard, seeing jungkook after years of believing him to be dead hit her like a thunderbolt. She covers her mouth, gasping and taking a step back with lips mumbling 'oh my god'.

Jungkook blinks his eyes few times, he focused on her strange actions.

"I'm sorry but do i know you?" He asks hesitantly yet politely, observing the change in her expression into a confused one.

"jungkook" She steps closer with a perplexed frown, "it's me"

Jungkook didn't respond, of course he doesn't know this women. But it didn't needed a clever brain to understand that he must've known this women earlier but his current condition is saying the other.

"I'm sorry it's just...uhm..." Jungkook stops, not knowing how to explain that he's amnesiac. "I must've forgot"

The women just gasped loudly, making him gulp and step back. Is she. . . his family or something? If that's the case, then he want to make a run. He doesn't want his family, he has one and he's content with it.

While lisa couldn't believe jungkook acted to not know her. There's no way jungkook had forgotten the one with whom he once used to spent his whole time.

Jungkook waits for a understandable response from the women which makes him unaware of the footsteps nearing him.

"Kookie what are yo--"

Jungkook snaps his head at taehyung, now getting more confused as taehyung stares at the women with a shockingly disturbed face.

Lisa at first gazes at taehyung in surprise, then looks down, not able to hold his eyes.

Jungkook looks back and forth at the two and decides to break the sudden tensed silence enveloping them.

"Tae?" Jungkook calls out, placing his hand on taehyung's shoulder.

Taehyung flinches and nibbles on his lower lip, averting his eyes everywhere but not at the one whom he never wanted to meet. He wants to escape this moment--just want to run away rather than facing this harsh painful reality, instead he remains frozen.

"Do you know her?" Taehyung hears jungkook's whisper. He takes a glance at him, trying to find something which he saw years ago in his eyes--the interest and like for lisa.

And in that moment he didn't realize his emotions were forming tears in his eyes, making jungkook to frown in worry.

"Tae... What happened? You okay--" He gets interrupted by the unknown women standing behind him.

"Taehyung-ssi?" Lisa finally manages to chock out and get out of her shame.

Taehyung's breathes heavily, eyes tearing up as he fists on jungkook's sleeves. Jungkook creases his brow in worry, clearly sensing the sudden discomfort of taehyung.
