Fifty eight : Fallen

Jungkook had his eyes closed for a moment to inhale the lightly caramelized and almost fresh nutty smell of the cafe. His fingers tap negligently on the table as he observes the surrounding to not feel tedious.

The classy decor of the cafe, incorporating white tones with a darker shade, provides a less vivid and admirable ambience. It pleases his eyes as how the soft and warm lights made the whole feel of the cafe cozier.

His eyes curiously roam around the glass walls and simple decor pieces. Soon enough, he feels a tap on his shoulder.

Turning around, he instantly gives a small smile to the one he waited for around half an hour.

"Took you so long?" Jungkook attempts to tease but his low voice didn't match up to it.

Observing this, jimin mimicks a playful voice, "Excuse me, i'm right on time. It's you who is early"

Jimin giggles cordially as he sits on the opposite chair, hands running through his soft blond hair.

Jungkook just chuckles in response which was obviously out of his nature, on a usual note they would certainly end up bickering and this left jimin feel a bit off. Again.

He surely missed jungkook's cheerful side which he doesn't know when he'll get to see again.

"So..." Jimin starts, wanting to break the awkward silence. "How are you doing?"

Jungkook looks down at his hands which are clasped together on his lap, "uh...just fine"

Jimin nods faintly, clearly unsatisfied at his feeble voice. "How was your therapy?"

The blonde was unsure as he just guessed jungkook might had his therapy session today and is back straight from there.

"Just the usual" Jungkook replies, instantly making jimin to sigh.

"You didn't add up any more medicines, right?" Jimin expectantly gazes at jungkook who grins, "Luckily, didn't"

The blonde let out a dramatic sigh of relief, "Well, then it's a improvement"

Jungkook lifts his lips for a responsive smile, "Yeah"

This time when jimin decided to stay silent and not speak first, jungkook was forced to initiate a conversation. "Well uh... hyung informed me about the dinner and--"

As if jimin was waiting for him to speak, he quickly interrupts him, "Ah...about that... Don't you dare to not come. Yoon said you always avoid visiting our place like it's some plague"

Jungkook shakes his head frantically,
"Uh no no... It's just....that day—i didn't mean to—"

Jimin saddens at the way jungkook was stressing for a small thing, "I'm only kidding, jungkook"

Jungkook fell silent at that, realising he got frantic.

The Min couple unexpectedly decided to invite taehyung and jungkook, of course jungmin, for a dinner party at their mansion in excuse that jungkook never visited their home and if the reason was less, then stating it as a special occasion. They just want to normalise the tensed situation between taehyung and jungkook a bit better.

Realising the concerned gaze he's receiving from the blonde, jungkook looks down again and nods his head, "Uh...yes"

Jimin purses his lips and looks around, waving at the waitress who reaches them shortly.

"Shall we order something?" Jimin asks, trying to brighten the mood and jungkook looks up at him, nodding. The blonde then averts his gaze to the waitress.
